Thanks, the network location fix is included now. I guess my point of keeping it Sharp is my little way of saying screw you to Motorola and VM for no support. If you want to modify the build.prop feel free, I stopped putting up build.props cause it was changing so much I figured I'd wait til everything was finished. Also, feel free to try your hand at the voicemail issue, some of the information needed is here, minus anything sms mms or message related cause I already fixed them. I'm sure that other files in the framework will have to be edited but those are a start. If anybody has any ideas about a possible fix for the voicemail issue I would be glad to hear them, cause what I think needs to be done is quite tedious, and I have too much on my plate right now.Do I have to install the GPS Fix zip or is it already built into ver7?
I installed Version 7 with a clean install. Everything is so far so good. I didn't know if I'd really like the dark theme of GB but I gotta say, I really like it. I restored my sharp launcher back up from ver6 with titanium backup and it only put my folders and shortcuts on, no wallpaper or widgets. No big deal though.
Some suggestions. A Triumph version complete with Triumph build prop and with the voicemail fix built in. I still have to do these.

I didn't have a chance to read through this thread completely yet, just last few pages.
Is there any documentation on the hybrid kernel in terms of features?
I see the tethering is built in, is it working? I see a post where a user was only able to access Google and they were on usb
Any Bluetooth/Wi-Fi bugs? I seem to have the b_random randomised where Bluetooth puts the phone in searching after a few minutes, hard to deal with when I use the Bluetooth keyboard. Btw any hope for built in hid support?
Sigh stock or custom kernel and absinthe still random record may as well try a good Rom soon
wifi bug i had is non existant in ver. 7 whatever it was bsydes fixed somehow, bluetooth i havnt used but no bug reports of bluetooth sooo thats a good sign.
Right. The problem was that the voice mail notification was calling CS instead of your voicemail: It had nothing to do with what happened when you manually dial *86.I didn't realize this until I read on a thread at HoFo but *86 is suppose to dial VM customer service. I dialed it on both of my kids phones and it goes to CS. I always presumed that *86 was another way to get into your voice mail. So really there is no *86 problem since it does go to CS, right?

Hey bsydes!!!
I am trying to use my gps and when it tries to connect it kills data, 3g and 1x. And cannot connect to download maps...
This is new since update to ver 7 first time ive tried gps on this update
also since the update the data seems slower, i dunno if i hit my throttle cap but its just a lil slower...
navigation seems to be working now but i have had this data loss issues 2 seperate times using ver. 7
Maybe try de-selecting "Use assisted GPS" in location settings- it'll take longer to get a GPS lock, but might be worth seeing if it fixes your data problem. I'm on the U9000-81 ROM & it seems to stop my data from dropping to 1X when using apps like Maps.
I haven't seen any issues with the wifi and bluetooth but I don't use BT very often. Did the wifi disconnect or was it just the status bar refreshing when the headset connected? Any more details would be helpful.Glad that's clear now. I was completely misunderstanding that issue.
On a separate note, I've had my wifi switch off and back on 2 times now. It happened when I was connecting my Bluetooth headset. It would shut wifi off and it would come back on all within a second of the headset connecting. I'm not worried about it but just wanted to report it. Another problem I've had with all the versions including this one. Every time I power down and then backup, it wants to remove a few apps. It's always the same apps. The road ninja one I'll uninstall but the other 3 I use. I can click and drag them back into their folders but the minute I reboot this the screen I see. It's the edit screen.
Edit: Just to clarify, it doesn' t try to uninstall them. Just takes them out of the folder.
It looks like this:

It is a bug that is an either or. With earlier versions, if you have wifi enabled and not connected, and try to use aGPS then it will knock you down to 1x but only two people said it knocked out service all together. More info can be found here and after. I can't get it to drop completely on my phone, so it may have to do with strength of signal at the time. It may have to do with the kernel objects for wifi, cause I changed them back for Ver7 to what they were before to fix some wifi issues. So that is where the either or comes in. With wifi on and not connected but aGPS disabled it will get a quick lock with network location, and then the GPS will tighten up the lock when it gets it, and it shouldn't knock down 3G at all. Hope this helps.i didnt have this problem with ver. 6, and the data doesnt drop to 1x it drops all together like i have no signal, and cannot download any data.
i will try disabling agps if i continue to have this issue, i might just go back to ver. 6

It is the launcher, when you fill your homescreen it starts adding shortcuts where the phone shortcut usually is, it is like an active folder, if you put them in a regular folder it won't give that option. It has nothing to do with the apps.
The folder that is popping up with the option to clear all, is the folder where the phone icon usually is. If you drop an app on the phone button, the left tab at the bottom, it will make it a folder. I can see in your pic that that is what is happening. If you have those apps in a different folder then just clear them and the phone icon will come back, or just hit menu and then edit and it will show you the folder, it is called cabinet. I don't know if it is another quick launch option or what, there are things I am learning about this launcher everyday. The wifi only disconnected for a second so no way that I know of to tell if it actually disconnected. Maybe it was just refreshing like you said. It isn't a big deal for me.
Do you mean that particular home screen page or the 6 screens in total are too full? The page wasn't full, or at least it didn't look full. There's 4 spaces left by my count. Also the apps were in the folders on the home screen. The folders weren't full either. I'm anal about dividing my apps by category so that's what the folders are for. There are other folders that are fuller than the ones these apps were in. I'll try to put these apps onto another screen and see if that helps.
when i had ver 7 installed, the wifi tether would only allow google access also.
is there a way to fix it?
