OK, so one more kernel test and a preview of Ver8.
Kernel:
I think I have a very good candidate for the kernel to include in Ver8, it is included in the test ROM below. Underclocking settings should stick now. Just flash in CWM or TWRP.
Sharp Ver8 Kernel test 8.zip
ROM:
This is basically Ver8 but since the kernel needs some testing, I am posting it here til I get some feedback. I have included 2 camera apps, Sharp(Camera_Home3_Nex_FB3_hdpi.apk) and Stock Triumph(Camera.apk), you can remove which ever one you like from system/app. I can not seem to find where the SD mounting notification is located, so that is still there, I even freshly unpacked the original Sharp 2.2.2 system image and decompiled the framework to compare what has been changed and still no luck. I changed a few things, mostly kernel and maps related also a few UI tweaks. Let me know what you guys think.

Enjoy!
Thanks for the quick feedback. I updated the post with new links. I added the I/O schedulers back in. I lost my kernel directory twice now, so I started from scratch and forgot the schedulers. You say that you like Stock ROM, have you checked out the U9000 ROM? It has all the bells and whistles as the Sharp ROM but is a USA ROM (U9000-81 V100R001C258B245SP10(USA CBW)). I can promise once you try it you will stick with it. It is just like stock but better. I am putting together the kernel for it right now. Thanks again for the feedback, it's the only way I know if I jacked something up or forgot something.I've been using your kernal with a stock rom and they boot fine. Last one worked just fine also. Even though I have no access to the tethering options but that's not entirely important to me. Everything seems to be smooth and snappier than the stock kernel.
This new one, lost some I/O scheduler options in no frills cpu. Frequencies seem to be changing but it's hard to tell on some of them if they're changing or not. I have no idea if the voltages are changing and I don't know how to see that.
I like your rom but I hated those Chinese widgets. Other than that, I think it's a cool rom. I'm just more of minimalist I guess and just happy to hack at the stock rom.

EDIT: Updated the kernel, thanks to SysCrusher for reminding me that I forgot some I/O schedulers.
Thanks for the feedback. I have only seen one person that was having this problem, and that was a while ago. I don't think it has anything to do with the kernels, as I have never seen this. I have to ask, have you have applied any tweaks or themes? It may be an app, especially if it controls power cycles for hardware like wifi.I've noticed a minor problem that might be related to Sharp Ver8 Kernel test 8.zip and Sharp Ver8 Kernel test 9.zip. At least I noticed the problem only after trying these kernels, however I'm also trying a few new apps, so it might be their fault, or my fault, if I'm using them incorrectly (I own a copy of Android Tuner, which is still in Beta).
Occasionally, while I'm using a WiFi connection the WiFi strength indicator in the notification area disappears. In those cases, the WiFi still works, but I don't see its indicator near the battery level indicator.
Also, when I go into Wireless and network settings, and add a checkmark to WLAN, soon afterwards the connection status shows up under the letters "WLAN" at the same time that the WiFi strength indicator in the notification area appears. After the test 8 and test 9 kernels, the checkmark appears when I click the WLAN checkbox, but sometimes no text appears under the "WLAN" and this coincides with a lack of WiFi strength indicator in the notification bar. Again, WiFi is working, but the indicators are intermittent. If I uncheck WLAN and then re-check it, the connection status and WiFi strength indicator appear, or they can reappear automatically after the phone has gone to sleep and I wake it up again.
Hi BSydz, thanks for all that you do. I love the battery life of the previous version.....will ver8 be the same as it relates to battery life?? Keep up the great work.
To be honest, I don't want to go too far with any changes, so I am just trying to figure out a few things about what works best. These ROMs are prebuilt and very hard to just go in and change a bunch of stuff. Smali files MAJORLY SUCK. I am just cleaning up a few things and trying to get everything ironed out. There probably aren't gonna be any huge updates, as the ROM is so close to being 100%, it is just tracking down all the little things that still linger. Small things like the date in the status bar when you pull down the notifications, and I am having a heck of a time finding the SD mount sound. This is not like a CM ROM that has code to work with so it will be mostly the same as it has been. So, if you are on Ver6 or Ver7 and you aren't having issues, there really isn't a reason to update unless you want to. I just work on stuff as I learn more about what and where stuff is located in the system. Battery should always be the same unless you overclock, or have bad signal, I don't plan on changing anything that would take away from stability. This is just the old truck that always starts when you need it to, "Old Faithful".I'll tell you - I'm trying to talk myself into installing the latest version, but the one I'm running is so solid I hate to mess with it. I downloaded the zip, maybe I'll install it Monday.
I bought Camera Zoom FX way back when it was 0.99 and i use it often with no issues so I'm not having any problems with the camera function.
Thanks for the feedback. The camera auto focus was an issue with kernel Ver8 test6, I believe, I added some code in to the kernel that made it not focus correctly, but reverted the changes for test8 and test9. I just set my home page to blank/nothing in the box, and after hitting back to exit out it loaded the same page it was on but after hitting menu then exit it loaded blank when I opened it. Dunno what is going on but seems to work for me just fine. Hope this helps.Bsydz,
Thanks for all the works!
One small thing I notice, besides the camera focus, is that I can't default browser homepage to blank. It seems like if I erase google.com from default homepage, it will reset itself to google.com. Can you do anything about it?

First, I would edit out your contact information, from your post, so you don't get spammers sending you tons of stuff. I would have to have more information about the phone. You can send me a PM with some details about the phone, like link to a stock or custom ROM, and what you are trying to do. I'll try to help as much as possible.BSydz, your solution is good, Do you have a IM to talk, I have a issue on Froyo Networklocation.apk for my SHARP SH7218U, I want that apk on your hand, Setting.apk, and any other else need to enabled google aGPS on my device.
my IM is #####@ com or Skype @#@#@#
