I simply moved it to system/app and rebooted. That's all. I didn't think permissions would have to be set.

They occasionally have the correct permissions already set, but it never hurts to double check. However, if that doesn't work either, I'd be happy to make a custom Sleipnir build for you with QuickMemo.

Ok gang I have noticed this issue with a couple of the roms for the OE i can not get into the tts settings, system settings force close each time i try to open it, anyone else having this problem i even tried it with a fresh install with nothing else added yet and instant fc.

Hell yes! This is much better than harmonia! I'm loving the speed on this also. I've gotten 36 hours of regular use at 1.6Ghz and now I'm down to 10%. Wonderful!

Artine ..... thanks for a great looking and speedy ROM. I love the "retro TV screen shutdown" (I'm sure that has a real name - hehe). I know that's a minor thing, but I have been envious of my wife's OV that had that. I am wondering what I can do to get the TTS to work. I like playing with Andi (ok that sounded odd 
), and like to have TTS for my GPS app .... Copilot Live. Settings menu for TTS just give an error when I try to open it.

This should hopefully help and little bit, and to give everyone a head's up.
While over Thanksgiving (I have a 4 day weekend, actually), I've started rebuilding Sleipnir from scratch. That includes the apps, SystemUI and framework-res (heads up, Hashtag), and will include a correctly functioning Search button remap to Camera (thank you, Hashtag) as well as Hashtag's theme chooser. TTS wasn't a problem in earlier builds, and I don't know why it is now (this was brought up by my girlfriend before it was brought up on this thread, so I've known about it and am working on it!) but that should get fixed here in the next day or so. That being said, I'm back from SD and am home now so I'v plenty of time to dedicate to sleeping, eating, gaming, girlfriend, and Sleipnir.

just flashed this last night and i love it. i was running harmonia and this seems to run faster. the only issue im having is that im unable to change any status bar icons. i use rom toolbox pro to change fonts, icons, remove system apps. but every time i try to change any icons it doesnt change them after i reboot like it did in harmonia. other than that this rom is awesome.

Try Hashtag's ThemeChooser, otherwise ROM ToolBox does have its limits with regards to our phones. System apps have been scrubbed completely of anything and everything completely unnecessary. Then of course you're free to delete calendar, calculator, and music, but otherwise there are no system apps I can think of that one should delete beyond that. Otherwise, I have no idea why it wouldn't let you change the icons except that you should reboot into recovery post-change-attempt, and clear your cache and dalvik cache once or twice, then reboot your phone. The icons should have changed afterwards.
EDIT: Also, yes, Tagged and Sleipnir have both been reported to be the two fastest ROMs for the OE. They're also very lightweight despite being feature-packed.

I actually had quickmemo installed and it would open up but the screen would be totally blank. not sure if a custom ROM would do the trick but most of the screen shot apps if tried for this really stink or are severely limited.
Just updated from aegir and boy howdy, I'm in love. even faster than the last ROM, and cpu settings are working like a champ. is it normal for the phone to always reboot twice for everything?

When QuickMemo opens up, tap the button at the top left of your screen and it will bring you back to your "screenshot" view.

I was expecting it to be fast and smooth, coming from Tagged. But honestly I was shocked at how good this rom looks.

What do you mean, for everything? For myself it doesn't reboot twice, but again anything like that is why I'm rebuilding it from scratch, from the ground up, again.

I had the same problem every time I tried to open a new app it would suddenly reboot and I got sick of it so I wiped and reflashed and haven't had a another problem... oh and since your rebuilding from scratch you should add hash tags new search button remapper thing?? Unless you already figured it out

Already working on it, but thank you. Glad to hear it is working correctly now.
Also, here's some goodness for everyone. I did a battery life test that ended last night. The OP has been updated with the screenshot, and I'll add it to this post as well.

Also with my "OCD" I guess, on the status bar the Wifi-Signal Icon stands quite far from the actual signal strength bars, any way you could add a quick fix to get the icon to fit tighter? Just makes it seem odd when I look at it, like there should be something in between at all times.
Also screen shots and the function are not working for me, saving to null and undefined directories let alone when trying to screen shot I get "mBitmap = null".

I see your workin on the search widget / button issue > I use the alarm Icon looks a lil cheesy on lock screen and also overlaps the unlock slide..
Still having battery drain issues > nothing running in the background except holo launcher and sometimes voice search. =(
how is the battery stat wipe fix procedure go? drain to 0 power, power on just enough to enter cwm then wipe battery stats and charge to full?
Love the rom other then that > i love the black / blue texting however not a fan of the old motorola razr keypad..

Occasionally I would experience that randomly as well, but going into recovery and wiping your battery stats, then charging it to full (it does not have to be fully drained first), should fix that issue. I don't know why it happens, and it doesn't happen all of the time, just once every blue moon. But that's how I fixed it. Hopefully, after that, you'll get the two+ days of battery life that I got (with pics, because pics or it didn't happen).
Also, v2.0.5 is go. It does not include a fully functioning remap of the search button however, so for those who do not wish to reflash the ROM twice so soon, feel free to hold off until 2.0.6. Hashtag and I are both trying to figure out how to include that feature with the ROM, as opposed to having to do it post-install.

for some strange reason, whenever I try to use the screenshot function, I get an error. MBitmap = null, then Bitmap saved to null. :/
