Root [ROM] SSX 2.0 by ChevyNo1 Built from GB 2.3.4 Source

Install went great! With no hitches. I just flashed it via D2 bootstrap. Syncing everything back up now :) Seems VERY VERY snapy. The CM7 lockscreen FLYS unlocked. Absolutly NO LAG AT ALL!

I know right; the unlock is so fast and smooth that it feels like it's taking my finger along for the ride :p

The boot up is pretty neat too!!!

Honestly, I think the is the fastest rom I have ever used. If battery holds up and he continues to update, maybe with a video cam fix, i think it will be a keeper until CM7 is stable...after 20 min, im digging it!!!

how did you restore you data from CM7? Did you just restore a nadriod backup from CM7?
 
So the Camera fix and GPS fix is built into this I assume? I'm interested, but is it worth jumping over from CM7? Cause I'm absolutely loving CM7 at the moment.

I agree, but Apex, Liberty, and CM7 are all still in beta, and all have issues. Could you please suggest a rom without any bugs?

For me, stock GB with Bo's BWC was awesome and bugless. But, I have a flashing addiction that must be fed. :D :o
 
ill have to let this one settle in a day before making any real evaluation. The only thing Ive noticed that I done like is while setting up my screens id scroll thru a list of apps and at one point it would twitch a split second. for such a short piece of my lifetime a twitch like that bugs the hell out of me. Maybe it will smooth out on its own. Other than the Chevy tools I dont really notice much different from what we had. well, the camera works without playing with files. If MMS isnt working that will be a mark against.

Where? I installed the "Patch zip" but that is not for MMS.
I also went the script section in tools and istalled the MMS fix and it doesnt work either. Please instruct me to the MMS fix link
 
Ok. Too drunk to do this tonight. That's the MMS fix Chevy posted earlier. I make no guarantees and take no credit. Back to the Jack Daniels.
 
Damn, I just got Liberty set back up today. I might just have to wait a few days first.

Just to make sure, if on. 596 install use the second file first then the main one or should I just sbf back?
 
This ROM is clocking faster on quadrant and on linpack both. Almost a full point on linpack consistently and 200 on quadrant. I found a few theme errors, but now that the few bugs have been squashed (input FC and mms error). Now just the big bugs that are inherent to CM7 (camcorder / video). Once they are gone, we will have true magic. I can see other 2nd Init ROMS on the future.... here we go.
