Root [ROM] unSENSEable V2.1 |3D|Fast|Lite|Great Battery| Now Overclocking|Buttered Toast| 04/11/13 |

Hey nsciucco,
Could the issue be due to a faulty stock battery. You said that you have not encountered the issue, but you had an extended battery. I only had the issue once but changed my battery the day after. Before then I was having problem with the battery reading the right charge level. After charging all night the battery would read at 97% then would jump up to 100 after a few min. If i rebooted the battery would lose about 10-20% but would drain slower. I reset the battery stats but a few days of use did not solve the issue. Got my extended battery in the mail and haven't had any issues since. Don't know if it is possible but just throwing that out there since all three of the people that had the issue seemed to have it after charging.

Anything is possible. But I really doubt it. It Could due to being overclocked. Some Phones seem not to be able to handle it as well. Maybe they were made on a Monday or a Friday...LOL
It also could be a app they might be using. It could be dozens of things. I really dont know... All I know is most are not having issues. So in my heart I dont believe its related to my ROM. If more people were having issues then I would say its something I did wrong. But I have been tearing it apart And cant find any problems or replicate the issue myself
 
sorry nsciucco seems we got off in a bad direction.
Will the update include working stock wifi tether?
Trust me when i say, all those little menus and toggles that dont work have zero effect on my veiw of this rom,
plainly said, I cant find a better, or even comparable rom at this cpu clock.
where the sam hell did you pull this kernel from? Narnia? noone else is even clocked close...but anyway..
I just know that working wifi tethering is a must have for MANY people using rooted androids, i dont know about you, but when i need wifi tether...i really need wifi tether.
Also, i noticed this rom does not have the faceunlock.apk ... which is handy, and i get it lite lite lite. i just wish i knew more about rom developeing so i could add it before flashing and avoid all the laggyness i am getting post titanium backup restore of it.


 
Well I can officially be added to the list now. I restarted my device, hit the bootloop, and it stayed there. I tried a battery pull first. Then tried clearing Cache and Dalvik. Then just formatting the boot and system partitions hoping to keep the data and re-flashing the rom. Still nothing, stuck at the boot loop.

I was messing with No-Frills when I restarted, because Kernel Tuner was not responding when I tried to lower my cpu to underclock around 700 or so. It would just pop back up to 1500 no matter what I tried. Same thing with No Frills. So I tried to restart to see if that would help and then the boot loop occurred and it was all over. I had been restarting now and then up until this point, so I do believe it has something to do with underclocking or overclocking, or messing with that stuff on this rom. Haven't had the issues elsewhere unfortunately.

Ill give any more info I can to help with the issue. That happened this afternoon, I had to reflash everything. Thats 4 now in two days though. I hope it gets resolved, besides this its been the best rom Iv'e used for sure.
 
I have noticed one issue looking at my CPU log it shows that my cpu is running at max speed and only throttles down when the screen is off. This happens even after killing most running apps no matter what governor chosen. This is using system tuner.

my suggestion is to download it again over a stable connection (I.e) not a mobile or wifi network.

i havent had ANY issues with the underclocking or overclocking. heck, i have one cpu down to 1ghz, and the other maxed.

then again, like the thread author said...maybe it's just the phone and something silly like it was built on a Tuesday, and mine was built on a Friday.

and for this, you would have to change (with extreme caution) change your up-load and down-load thresholds with something like kernel tuner.

i could "show" you how with kernel tuner...with anything else, i would have to poke around on my own first. pm me.
 
All right. I am rebuilding as we speak. I will push a update out soon.. this will basically be a incremental update with a few revisions to system lib files.

Again I'm not having Any issues. But I made a few changes that has actually given a slight speed increase. And quicker shutdown and restart Times . Maybe it will help the handful of people having issues
 
You can add face lock on your own. It's in most roms. I personally find it useless. A pin lock or pattern is way quicker

And WiFi tether app from the market works fine for me

I hate to sound like a newb but If I would really be interested in learning how to do this. I am not sure what you mean by doing a fresh install as I will lose the apk's by doing that. Could you please be more specific?
 
Pull that apk from system/app from another rom. Place it into the install zip of this rom in the same location. Full wipe [EXCEPT SD CARD] and install. :D

Is how I interpreted that atleast

You couldn't replicate the phone not fully booting up after a battery drain? I guess it is one of my apps, I'll see if uninstalling most or all stops it.

Speed increase-even more responsive
Quicker shutdown time
Quicker restart time
Tweaked system lib files.
Deleted more unnecessary files
Deleted kernel tuner
 
quick question, off topic, hope you dont mind.

do you HAVE to use dex's kitchen for adding apk's into a rom? or can you just drop them in?

also, in my personal past experience, useing dex's kitchen to unzip then add apk's only add's then to the system folder but does not install them....what am i missing?
 
well, the stock wifi tether settings apk bundle and the face recognition.
as well as a few other random apps.

just something to make it custom, i know how to use dex's kitchen, sort of, just have never been able to just "drop" apk's in the the appropriate folder and have them show up when the rom is loaded.
 
you dont need that. just use winRAR. open up the zip and drag the apk files in from Mobster Rom hd.

and do you mean the Virgin mobile tethering app?.........
