Root [ROM][WIP] BACKside ROM (CM7) + Green Machine Theme

I used Titanium backup to roll the install back into the Rom. So far I have had no issues with it and I gained back a bit of space. Got to use the old icon again and everything.

Had an issue adding Google Play while using the Espier launcher. I switched to ADW, long pressed the screen, added a shortcut to Google Play and then launched it. I went back to Espier and the Google Play icon showed up where the old Market icon was. I opened it and accepted the license again and all is well. Thanks for the push in the right direction.

Start with your min at 480 and leave it there, you wont find better results with a lower min speed, in fact lower can cause battery issues. ;)

For max, start with a number around 800, but DO NO SET ON BOOT YET! Once set, open the gallery, then try playing something like angry birds (any 3d game will do), then try to take picture with your camera. If at any point, your phone freezes or reboots, lower the max down a notch and test again. Once you find the number you don't have issue at, lower it one more notch for safety, then check Set On Boot. ;)

Some people can overclock above 800, my phone is only stable at 749, ymmv.

Overclocking will make almost everything run a bit faster and smoother, once you find that magic number. ;)

Mine has been stable so far using 480 and 844. I have been notching it up one step every week or so, making sure I don't get any fcs. I am as impressed with this little phone as I am with the devs - doing way more than I would expect!

I had been up there, but settled back on 806. The extra few clock cycles don't make a huge difference once you start getting over 800 MHz. The performance limitation at that point is more the processor's architecture. You are also draining the battery faster by generating more heat. I think Angry Birds runs just as smooth at 806 as it does at 844 or above. Assuming your phone can run that high.;)

Same here

For cammykool, this weeks update to BacksideUpdater will include an extended manifest, allowing you to install older versions of BACKside-IHO!

If I get the bug worked out in time, you will also be able to install a recovery via BacksideUpdater!
(edit, looking good)

Might be an easter egg or two in there as well. ;)

For benslgdroid, improved functionality of the status bar restart service. It's still not perfect, but it should work a bit better!

And if I have the time, you'll be able to long-press the dropdown background and select the image there rather than going through settings. ;)

using 2012-01-09 build. The clock on the status bar did not update with the change to daylight savings time. The clock on the lock screen did update as normal. Any suggestions?

Had the same problem. Simple reset worked fine. BTW installing a recovery thru BACKside Updater would be awesome! I've wanted to try out the touch recovery but don't feel like going thru the terminal stuff again. But also I'm not sure if I should mess with the recovery. I mean if it ain't broke don't fix it right?

Thanks. I couldn't figure out how to restart the status bar, but I force closed it, and then rebooted the phone, and it solved the problem.

Awesome thank you. On a side note if you get the recovery install working a stand alone app that someone could install to get a new recovery, fix black screen, and get backside going would be great. A name suggestion would be backside starter or installer. Would help allot of new users get started. You can even slap some ads in the standalone to make you some income for all your work.

I just flashed to the latest version and I've noticed the top panel, which was previously black, is now transparent. Any way to revert it back to black?

I realize this is a very insignificant issue but when you hold the power button and the menu pops up, it flashes what the phone screen would be unlocked. just thought I'd point that out

Hi everyone, my phone has been having some serious battery issues lately, and I just wanted to ask if it could possibly be a problem with the rom, instead of a problem with the battery. My problem is that the battery will drop 10-40% within a span of 5 min, sporadically. Here is my battery graph: imgur: the simple image sharer
