Root [ROM][WIP] BACKside ROM (CM7) + Green Machine Theme

Thanks for the update.
Hope this fixes the double lockscreen I'm having with the 02292012 build. (Not able to turn the CyanogenMod one off)

I recently installed the February 29 build on my phone. Everything looks great, but I am having a problem with MMS. Text messages work fine, but I can't send or receive MMS. Has anyone experienced this too?

Also, I have a problem with the SD card that came with my phone. If I do a software reboot the card doesn't seem to mount. It only seems to mount if I fully shutdown and then power up. Is this normal?

Thanks to all for the all time and effort put into development and support.
MMS should work fine, I test it before releasing each build.

Your sdcard doesn't sound fine, you might need to replace it. Try using sdcard tools on it on your PC.

JerryScript you're making it hard to stay on 1/31.. See here's the thing, I could move a BUNCH of apps over to the card, I'm only self alluding to the belief that having all possible on the phone makes it as ideally fast as it could but I don't know how much of everything just gets cached anyway? How bout games? Angrybirds or turbofly3d lite (my only 2 games right now) how much of it just gets loaded into memory at one time and how much re-reading after that, or cpu resources even? Or for example all my theming elements right now amount to quite a bit of it, how much slower or faster would the screen response be otherwise? I know that most of my wallpapers I use are on the card anyway so what's the difference?

btw I just looked at my card magnefied and it's a class 4 of the 16 GB Sandisk kind, how fast would that measure up?

Just read up on my card, sounds like it might be a fairly good one to have?

Thanks Jerry. Any pointers on how I can resolve my MMS issue? Messanger hangs on sending...
Some have had luck clearing the MMS and Telephony caches, ymmv.

Try running the command fix_permissions in the terminal.

Beyond that, it's a full wipe/format that usually fixes all issues. ;)

... I think the 'Skip on security' function may be partially broken--under Settings > CyanogenMod settings > Lockscreen > Unlock options. I've always had this option checked/selected, and the setting would be retained and functional after the last several updates. However, in this latest 0229 update, the function no longer seem to work after a reboot--the Sliding Tab lockscreen appears even though disabled. ...

[Edit] Besides upon reboot, the Sliding Tab lockscreen also appears unexpectedly when the charger is first connected. [/Edit]

[Edit #2] The Sliding Tab lockscreen also appears when pressing the Power, Home, Return or Search button to wake the phone. However, pressing the Menu button to wake the phone behaves as it should--the keyboard for unlock PIN entry screen appears and no Sliding Tab screen. [/Edit #2]

...

Updated and tested 0306, I'm still experiencing this issue as previously reported with 0229.

[Edit] This anomaly with the Double Lockscreens was still observed with version 0313. I decided to do a complete clean install of 0313 with full wipes and formats. Problem seem to be resolved now. [/Edit]

Just wanted to say thanks Jerry, I moved enough before the flash to to the card to leave me 96 MB internal memory and after 2/6/12 I still show 82 mb so the loss is minimal anyway, great so far.:D

Google just rolled out an update to market, It is now "Play Store" in your launcher. After the update the old "Market" shortcut will do nothing. For a while there I thought something was broken. If this happens to you, it was not Jerry who did it.

Updated and the Market works fine for me

Yeah, it changed to the play store but the Market link works, at least for me it does..

I'm running the 1-31 build.

And you're right about that too cause I just chickened out and went back to 1/31, seemed a little quicker, market link still works?

Thank you guys!

The rom is absolutely incredible. Great performance with incredible battery life. I like this phone on backside IHO better than my evo on stock rom. I've had some issues with some minor bugs but I'm sure you guys will work them out. I will drop you a pm if they persist in future builds. As far as working as a phone for what I need it for it's been flawless with calls, text, and mms. I'm running launcher pro and swype beta. I Couldn't be more pleased. Did I mention the great performance and incredible battery life? And lots of eye candy too. Damn. lol. Thanks again for all the hard work guys. It's very appreciated.

If you have any issues/bugs, post them here rather than PM'ing me about them. I participate in several forums, and don't get around to reading all my PMs more than a couple of times a week. Besides, posting here allows everyone to benefit from the Q&A! ;)

I've been lurking here for a few days and decided to install this latest ROM to replace the stock Virgin Mobile ROM. Do I need the GAPPS flash zip, as indicated in the first post / ROM release? If so, where do I get it? Thanks!

Thanks - got everything done, restored apps via Titanium. Only thing missing is Gmail - I'm looking for it. Ideas?

BTW - Does this ROM include Flash?

No, try the Dolphin HD browser from the market .. oops .. I mean Google Play. It supports flash if I remember right.

Dolphin HD attempts to render Flash using some sort of on-the-fly conversion, but it's seldom successful.

I found a modified Flash package out on the web and will try to install that one. Thanks!
