Extra checkboxes, mumble grumble, gotta add another if/then, mumble grumble, oops forgot to load the preference, mumble, grumble, what?!? errors, mumble, grumble....hmmm, oops this is the forums and not my private logs? Sure I can, but no promises. ;)
 
Is it easier to just have an option for each item and no check boxes? If you want the same color you would just have to type it into both places.
This is not a feature that is a must, hardly ever use the dial pad to call anyone.
 
At the rate your going you will have eliminated the need for a theme. Giving the user total color customization would be pretty cool.

That has always been my goal, though a bit further actually. I want to give users the option of installing a theme, and then changing what bits they don't like to suit them.

I have never found a theme that was "perfect for me." There are several themes I like, but none that fit just right. So I have always wanted to be able to change things to what I want. This is the option I'm attempting to give everyone else with BACKside-IHO. Otherwise, I would just stick with building pure IHO-CM7.2. ;)

I'm not familiar with that recovery, and the -s- makes me think it's for the Optimus S.

Just download Drew's touch-recovery and put it on your sdcard. Then open terminal emulator, and type in:

su
flash_image recovery /sdcard/NAME_OF_RECOVERY_FILE_HERE
That will install the recovery for you in about 20 seconds. Then you can use it to install the ROM. ;)
 
Warning!

Do not use the touch recovery to flash anything other than a ROM or theme for now!

I may have to remove my endorsement, there seems to be a major issue with it.
 
I installed the emulator and entered the text, but I couldn't see an enter key. I tried everything.
I did use rom manager and installed CWMT Recovery v5.0.2.7-th7.
Will that work?
 
I have moved my Fb and dropbox apps to the phone, and no more PW prompts! However, still unsuccessful in getting my drop to skin! :(

If you have a new screen if you reboot into recovery you will get the infamous black screen which is why many people are so anti Rom manager.
 
Ok now that I'm a little wary of the touch recovery does anyone know a recommended recovery for the new screen and can provide a link?

Don't mean to contradict you ben but it is in fact the proper Touch Screen Recovery. I don't know how he managed to install it. I haven't been able to get ROM Manager to download it to my V and I have the premium version
The recovery that's the problem is the 3.2.0.1 in the Flash Recovery option.
The Touch screen Recovery is a separate recovery download option on the premium version (paid)
Don't worry a5pe4 it's a very good recovery. You just can't flash a radio.img from it. Something you don't need to worry about if you didnt install the firmware update.
