If the problem returns, try a full wipe and a clean flash.

Had a strange issue the past few days on the February build, where my camera screen would have a bunch of horizontal and vertical lines on it, almost like a grid but more scattered. If I took a picture and viewed it, the lines would not be there. I also saw the lines while watching videos in multiple apps. Then this morning, I woke up and my screen was on by itself and just static like an old TV. It would still vibrate when I tried to unlock it but the screen wouldn't change. Weird! I rebooted and it was back to normal.
I just updated to the March build; so far no lines on the camera. Rebooting would fix it on the old build temporarily, though. Guess I'll just have to wait and see!
is there going to be an update today? My addiction is craving to flash an update!!! FLASHAHOLICS!
Cook up a theme, flash that and share it with us!
The current build doesn't seem to work with square at all. I was only able to get the credit card to show up once with testing it, the rest of the time the square app shows a red square device image, like its not working I think. Did reboot, tried with square launched prior to plugging it in and plugging it in prior to launching square, and reinserting while it was running. When it says swipe again, that's from shaking the phone, it thinks you did a swipe that didn't work because the phone detected itself move in a swipe motion.Hi Jerry,
Good news, Square usually works with the previous build (from 12-21-2011). I had it act up on me a twice along with six successful swipes. So I experimented and figured out what conditions made it mess up. I found the best way to always get it to work is to plug in the square device before starting the app. Once I started trying to make it mess up, it worked every time when plugging the device in after starting the app. However, I believe it might have failed once or maybe both times during the intial six successful swipes without ever removing the device while the app was running but just by plugging in after the app was started. Once the device is plugged in and the app is running, I could make it mess up by removing the device and plugging it back in usually twice while the app was running. I noticed each time I unplugged or replugged I barely heard a static click in the phone's speaker. Then a pop-up window would tell me to "try again swipe faster" without ever trying to swipe a card and continue to go away and repop-up randomly without ever doing a recognisable pattern. It would continue to do this until force shutting the app down in manage apps or rebooting the phone (both ways worked). Then the device would work again until removing and plugging back in usually twice while the app was running. I next did a fresh install of 1-10-2012 build and it always failed. If the pop-up windows doesn't show up, then the device worked and visa versa. So I believe you are right about a conflict cause by the change made to record conversations. BTW, in Texas only one party of a conversation has to know it is being recorded for it to be legal.
It is really nice to be able to use your BACKside ROM. I hope this info helps and will be glad to be the guinny pig if you pursue this. I think I described exactly what it took to make it mess up, but question me as much as you need.
Thanks so very much,
Gerald

I'm still having problems with the Bluetooth.
I finally got my contacts to sync with my car and it's operating as it did before. Now, the sound quality of the phone over bluetooth is terrible. It is hard to describe, but the sound is very "electronic". It sounds like I'm in the Transformers movie. Its almost as if something is electronically interfering with the bluetooth.
I took a backup prior to flashing this ROM. I will likely restore the backup to see how the sound quality is.
how do i install drews touch recovery??? and what new features does it have??
Anyone else having the phone get hot during charging since the update
Which update? I've always felt it get hot during charging haha. Especially in a poorly ventilated room.
I restored my backup that I created prior to flashing BACKside. The backup was of my stock phone. After the restore, the quality of bluetooth phone calls is back to normal.
I'm going to try a fresh flash of BACKside again.
Afternoon, gentlemen.
I just picked up BACKside after giving up on StockOV Overdrive, and my Market keeps giving me 'server error' messages, so i can't get apps. I have backups, and I'll probably go get the .apk for my backup utility while I wait, but does anyone have a remedy for this?
Did you do a full wipe? Did you flash the latest gapps?
... Well, darn. Looks like I grabbed the gapps for cyanogen 9.
It was the first one on the list
