Root [ROM][WIP] BACKside ROM (CM7) + Green Machine Theme

My phone seems to have no sound when I make calls. I can get sound out of my speaker phone during my calls but during my calls the main ear speaker no longer works. Is there a fix for this?

Try rebooting, then pull the battery hold the power for fifteen seconds replace battery and boot, finally you can try a full wipe that worked for me when it got stuck in headset mood.

Well if I do a full wipe I have to re-root my phone entirely right? I'm really not in the mood.

Just did a re-flash with wiping literally everything and it still does it.

Technically it won't make a difference. Essentially it will do the same as installing the ROM, with wiping the cache's and everything. Chances are it's a hardware issue and I will un-root it and send it to Virgin Mobile to try to fix it or replace it.

If it's a software issue it would. If it's a hardware issue it wouldn't

I've had the same issue which was solved after a wipe and new flash. There is code in the rom that modifies speakers and headsets. You were asking for if there was a fix so we're trying to help you. If you don't want suggestions that may help then I'll stop trying to help you.

If you really think it's a hardware issue then make sure it's a hardware issue. Try downloading and installing the stock nandroid that you made. If you have no stock ROM to restore, download and install a stock ROM. If you still have problems with sound then it's a hardware issue. If it fixes the problem then you probably got a corrupt download of the BACKside ROM (this is why I always check the md5 sum after downloading). This can be caused by a slow connection, using 3G instead of WiFi to download, and or, a messed up server.

If I could bother you guys for a wee bit of help. Id appreciate it much! I seem to be having an issue getting the screen timeout set properly for the lockscreen.

CyanogenMod settings - Lockscreen - Delay and timeout - Screen timeout delay: I set this to 30 min to test.

The lockscreen still shuts off in 5 seconds... barely enough time for my old eyes to adjust to see what time it is lol.

Am I in the wrong setting?

Edit: Forgot to mention that I am using the latest BACKside release.

I'm flashing the stock ROM as we speak

Under the main menu then display there's a section for screen time out, make sure that's set to a higher value as well as in cyogen settings.

Checked there as you said... it's set for 1 minute. Is there a different one I am missing in the Cyanogen settings other than the one I previously mentioned? Wouldn't surprise me if I missed it lol.

I use Widget locker.
I have all timeouts I found set to 2 minutes. It will still shut down after about 5 seconds like you have noticed.
I found that out since I use Handscent for my texting with the pop-up to come over the lockscreen. I could hardly read any of the message when the screen would go out.
Here's what I found to get it to timeout for the amount you specify, touch the screen anywhere after it comes on. Then it will time out to the two minutes I have it set for, if not off goes the screen.
At least it's been working that way for me since running BACKside back in January.

Normally I do use Widgetlocker, but I'm having issues with it since this last flash (I had FC's with just about everything with this last flash). I just have to completely uninstall Widgetlocker and totally redo all my settings from scratch with it. Then it will work without a FC. Just don't have time right now, so using the BACKside lockscreen.
