Root [ROM][WIP] BACKside ROM (CM7) + Green Machine Theme

Think support died for the v.....o well my evo kills my v even with tons of apps open.

Support for the V did not die. Look around on androidcentral. I see a new ROM/ROM update almost every week. Just nothing for BACKside (yet). I do wish some of those ROMs were posted here though.

Can anyone help a fellow mate here? I recently flashed and installed BACKside on my Optimus V. 3G & everything worked, Overclocked to 825mhz and its been stable ever since. Its supah fassst, love it! lol

For two weeks I relied on Wifi, after I got my service back I noticed that Texting and Calling works, but data does not. Playstore says "No Connection" & Web says "Data connectivity problem.

Has someone been and overcome this issue? Thanks for reading :)

Had an issue with data once, I went in and re-activated the phone. That seemed to fix it. Also, somewhere in About system you can see your data network status. Check that out first.. but re-activate from the menu in the phone fixed data issues for me.

Reactivating will fix it, but it must be done from a froyo rom. Make a nandroid of BACKside, flash Harmonia or Bumblebee to use the activate app. When it's done (may take a few attempts) restore your nandroid and you're in business.

I can't even begin to go over all the crap I've done to my phone over the last week in order to get my 3G working. Just when I think it's back it takes a crap and dies. I've just about had it with Virgin Mobile guys. :(

Incoming rant....

I really do love my OpV but Virgin Mobile is standing on my last nerve, which is pushing me right out the door. A few days ago I went in to a Boost/Virgin store and the lady just totally ignores us like we were never there. Only three people (me, my boyfriend and some other lady) in that tiny ass store and she couldn't be assed to come talk to us. Meh.

I did some serious research yesterday, and made 3 different phone calls to T-Mobile to ask questions (refreshing to talk to those who speak fluent English). I think I'm talking myself into the Galaxy Nexus that's for sale on Google Play. Will probably toss it on one of the T-Mobile prepaid plans. Seems the GSM version of this phone has a much better radio than the CDMA version. Plus it will get all the juicy OS updates (Jelly Bean w00t!) in a timely fashion. Not to mention that anytime I have an issue with my plan there's a T-Mobile store at one of the big malls 2 miles from me. Stays open till 9pm. I just have to stop procrastinating and make the actual move of purchasing the phone. But I hate spending my money. :o

I love my optimus v, too.

But I just ordered the Galaxy Nexus. I feel like I'm committing adultery.

My phone was fine all morning, then someone called and when he hung up my phone froze, I tried everything it was stuck there, so I had to pull the battery. When I turned it back on it seemed fine,3g and 3bars were showing but I found I had no web,no market, no connection. It took awhile but I found out it was airplane mode button was stuck, but it wasn't showing as being checked it was sort of darkened. I rebooted now all is good!
knock on wood!
just thought it might help someone.

hopefully you get it since it's now banned in the US. I love mine. The dev community is huge. We've been rocking jelly bean since the day after it was announced!

Why's it banned?

Judge placed an injunction on the Galaxy Nexus because of Apple's claims that it violates some of their 'patents'. Therefore the last I heard was Google was going to push out a software update to remedy the issue for now so they can still sell the phone while they appeal.

I did order it, (twitch) and according to tracking it's sitting 18 miles from my house right now (twitch). UPS doesn't deliver on the 4th of July. (twitch, twitch)

/scream

You're right.......-_- I haven't been in any cell phone store since I got my optimus M

Silly, you don't need to go into a store to get wind of this news.

All kidding aside though, this is a pretty huge deal (there's even a petition to impeach Judge Koh. Impeaching a judge is pretty serious business. I bet that <insert bad word relating to female dogs here> owns an iPhone). You can't even purchase the Gnex at the Play store right now (I haven't looked to see if there's an update on weather or not they just ran out of stock, or removed the phone due to the ban).

Rather than derailing the thread any further, just check here.

They had the same issue with HTC One line. It actually delayed the release of the One X and S for about a month. Apple strikes again.

So after following all the necessary steps in Recovery to set up for the install of the IHO-VM670-05022012 zip, I go to install the zip from my card and it is showing a "(Status 7)" error and that the installation has been aborted. Has anyone else came across this issue or know what I might be doing wrong? :(
