Root [ROM][WIP] BACKside ROM (CM7) + Green Machine Theme

Riggerman is correct, unless they've rooted their phone, and flashed BACKside, or made a custom Froyo rom with just that animation added to a stock rom, then they won't be able to enjoy the screen off animation.

Come to the BACKside, and don't forget the febreeze. :D

Yeah.. thing is, he's got a Slider phone, so I don't think I can be flashing this BACKside on him. It IS rooted tho.

If you plan on flashing it anyway, make sure you make a Android, and save a copy on your desktop. And learn how to recover from an incorrect rom flash brick.
Or, you can try porting it yourself, you'd need a custom rom made for the slider, and then search the thread "make your own miui rom", and follow the directions there. Just replace anything that says miui, with backside. YMMV

AKA backup with custom recovery

AKA: Total and complete backup of everything, the ROM and all user data. Made from a custom recovery (stock recovery doesn't have this option). Just like a restore point on a PC. It's stored on the uSD card in the clockworkmod folder.

Is this CM7 build considered stable and all future dev work is going into CM9? There hasn't been any updates in a while, so I was just curious :)

I was giving directions more than explaining what it is ;)

Basically yes. Even though there is minor incomplete work in Settings>About Phone>Status.
I think JerryScript might fix that and then release his CM9.

I know for a fact he was working in CM9 for the V. He had me test an early build of it. Whether or not he continues is the question. He isn't the type to just flake out and not say anything. I'm honestly a little concerned for his well being. He could be dealing with health issues right now. I hope he's okay ...

Agreed

I haven't been on here since May 21st myself. Got an iPhone 4s for work and retired the Optimus V.. a free phone is a free phone even if it is a freakin iPhone 4s.. (miss my droid).

Anyhow, I'm surprised that Jerry has been MIA for so long. I googled his real name as well and nothing comes up anywhere since May. I'm hoping for the best as the work he did was phenomenal. The bad part about the Internet is when bad things happen to someone (or good) and causes them to be offline for awhile, you have no way to know why :(

Think support died for the v.....o well my evo kills my v even with tons of apps open.
