Root [ROM][WIP] BACKside ROM (CM7) + Green Machine Theme

yeah I tried uninstalling and installing inotia3 and it still wouldn't work. Can anyone confirm this and see if inotia3 is working for them? =]

I noticed that the default exposure setting in the camera app is fixed. It's not too dark anymore. VERY NICE. All of the exposure settings work too. There's also a timer function added to it. The camera is perfect now.

I can only find one problem with this ROM. A transparency effect in some apps is kind of scrambled. For example, if you go to your friends list on the Facebook app and use the slider on the right to do a fast scroll by letter, the popup letter is scrambled. I've noticed in a few other places, but I can only think of the Facebook app off the top of my head.

I could make my own. It would be easier to just throw one in there. I tried to fix the bootanimation.zip file in the 8/25 build (inside the system/media folder), but it still didn't work.

Inside the bootanimation.zip file, there's a text file called desc.txt. In one of the tutorials I found, it said it should match the resolution of the screen (320x480). The text file had 480x480 instead. I thought that was the problem.... I'm still messing with it.

I flash my ROM every time you update your build, and find myself doing a manual Zip update for the circle battery mod (UOT), then manually renaming/deleting the camera click sound files

I would imagine there are many others out there who feel the same :)

If you want to disable the camera click sound, use an app called Root Explorer. Click the "Mount R/W" button on the upper right corner to mount the folder as read/write. Go to system/media/audio/ui and rename the camera_click.ogg file. No sound for my camera now! haha

Very Nice. I have the droid incredible like i said. cant remember where i found it but its got teh droid sound and everything pretty sweet.
 
Yeah I tried to push several boot animations onto the phone... nothing. I even tried to manually put it in there (es file explorer). I hate just the blank blackness there, makes me feel like I bricked it. :(

That's weird. mine worked just fine
 
theres boot animation apps in the market with a few boot animations that you can use. very simple to use, and works fine for me. although, i kinda do like the black emptyness, its like "wtf is coming?" but then nothing happens, and its a disappointment.. until the rom boots up, and your like "omfg this is awesome!"

i like that you can use gestures to unlock the phone, i thought that it would be cool to have my signature as my gesture, but it pisses me off sometimes, glad you can have multiple unlock gestures though, so i made several of my signature that would help aid the random sloppiness of my finger writing. and its pretty cool to show off to my friends when they are like "my unlock pattern looks so cool, check it" and you just show off by doing some amazing gesture, and they are are like mind = blown like an expensive hooker doing what she does best.
 
Updated to the 8/25 build and loving it! Works great so far =] OH and how do I turn off the boot sound if I'd like? Kinda loud for me xD LOVE the new bootlogo though!

Use the file manager of your to navigate to /system/media/ and either delete the file "android_audio.mp3" or put some in front of it like "1.android_audio.mp3"

Oh cool. I did not know that. I don't have time at the moment to look up any. Which one do you recommend??

That's because the folder is mounted as read only. If you use Root Explorer, there is a button in the upper right corner called "Mount R/W" which mounts it as read / write... then you can make any changes you want.

Updated to 8/25 and a few weird things happened:

Couldn't open the android market, was told that I needed to add an account and when I tapped on add account it brought me back to my home screen. installing "gapps" fixed this, and brought back my gmail contacts.

All my apps are not appearing under "My Apps" in the android market... this is not good because I need to update them every once in a while. Don't have a solution for this one =[, please advise

Edit: Also says I don't have 3 apps installed.. but i clearly do...

Edit2: Found a soluion via google: Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > Market

Select clear data. Fixed.

That was a hassle though ;/
 
Just flashed 8/25 much more stable so far and rotation is ALOT more responsive than it was. Had no problem replacing boot animation and boot sound manually with es explorer.
 
Yeah, Boot Animation Changer lite is what I installed before I read your post. Thanks!! I like it alot and it worked great first time. Plus it includes alot of animations already!! ;)
