Root [ROM][WIP] BACKside ROM (CM7) + Green Machine Theme

I was kinda expecting Google Music to be the default player in the new update. I just tried downloading it from the market and it didn't download. Any ideas?

Yeah, sorry, I forgot to add it to the final package. For now, you'll have to download it from sources outside the market and install it manually.

Hey jerry, would simply unzipping the rom, and adding/removing some apps, rezipping it and then flashing it work?

You can do that with some apps, but you have to follow a few rules:

1) Use something like 7zip and only open the archive, then drag and drop file in/out of it, always be sure it is set as "store", and never actually zip it up, just close it after drag/dropping files.
2) After making changes, go into the META-INF folder and delete the three file in it, not the folders
3) Use a resigning tool to re-sign it

You may have issues depending upon the resigning tool you use, some apks may not get signed properly and could have issues when updating from the market.

Hi Jerry first off, I want to say I love the Rom,I always come check for updates too everyday.I also sometimes modify the Rom to fit me some more, but in the 11-111 Rom there's an bug. I turned on normal ringtone, and a text will not play a ringtone, I've tried everything including full wipe and reflash but nothing I'm convinced it's an accident in audiomanager changed in thoes version
when you can can you please look into this and post a fix, I can't look myself toll the 5th so help from you will make this easier, thanks

I had trouble installing the new market apk, it just would fail saying not installed. Here's how I got it working, in case others have trouble too.

1- Download the Market.3.3.11.apk to your sdcard
2- Attempt to install by clicking on it in your file manager, if it doesn't install, continue
3- Under settings>>applications>>manage select the all tab, then scroll down to the Market
4- Click on the market, and then clear cache, then clear data
5- Using a root file explorer setting files to r/w, rename /system/app/Vending.apk to Vending.apk.bak
6- Rename the Market.3.3.11.apk you downloaded to your sdcard to Vending.apk
7- Copy this new renamed Vending.apk to /system/app/Vending.apk
8- Long press on the copied file and select permissions, check all nine boxes
9- Reboot, then once the phone is loaded up, open the Market and accept the terms.

I like the Auto-add shortcuts option in the settings menu, I always hated searching the app drawer for apps I just downloaded. ;)

Guys I don't know what happened but I tried to download an app from the market and it says I have insufficient space even tho I have 87 mbs left. Has this happened to anyone else?

Go to menu/settings/applications/manage applications/all. Then select the market app. Select clear cache

Got do /etc/init.d/ and move the 01mvdalvik file or rename it to 01mvdalvik.bak. Then clear the market cache and data. Reboot recovery and wipe cache and dalvik.

Try checking the messaging settings for your phone.

Also same here with the clock. I'm gonna go digging in the Settings in a little bit.

FYI, I don't have the message ringtone sound either.

Clock fix:
Go to settings then cyogenmod then interface them notification bar tweaks, change the clock color, then toggle the am PM on and of (in same settings section) will work now. Notification didn't sound though.

Just wanted to throw out there that I was running the MiRaGe build of IHO since it was the most recent sync to the repo and ran into a few issuses. One major issue I had was a slow 3G connection. I have flashed back to Backside and everything is as it was.

Jerry you're the best! :D

I have been out of service for over 4 days now, been using wifi. Just got back service, and my messaging notifications don't work either...

EDIT: I will probably be reverting back to the 10172011 build due to the notification glitch

EDIT2: How do I revert back to an earlier build? Never had a single problem with 10172011, so I will probably stick on that one for a long while.

I am also having trouble with the text notifications. Just rooted and flashed the rom yesterday. Thanks for the clock info by the way.
