Ok... A minute after installing Gapps, screen froze and then it restarted, now it wont boot back in, cyanogen logo freezes after a few seconds and stays there, than goes into a black screen and nothing from there. I have to pull the battery back out in order to try and boot again.


Edit: ok so i booted into recovery by hardware keys, and did a factory reset, after booting back i can 100% confirm its enabling wifi like everyone says, what caused all the trouble.

sorry i was in a hurry (dinner was ready) and wasn't really paying attention to every file etc..
i just opened both in folders side by side and compared then manually till i found files that didn't exist in your build
somebody mentioned bluetoothe earlier so i did the same for it while i was at it and it works too
 
everything seems perfect but i don't have service so can't test echo etc.. but i can say that *228 voice commands don't work for me when theres an echo but they worked just fine when i tested it to update roaming list.
all apps i tested so far work without crashes etc.. audio is fine etc..

Just to be clear. You fixed WiFi and Bluetooth?
 
Share the wealth meng! PG's new build crashed on me (but hats off to pg's almost perfect build) so I reflashed, and after a while of use it crashed again, same as others were saying, but it wasn't Cuz of WiFi. I was using 4g both times and still got crashes. BUT everything was working and NO ECHO!

if you restored a backup that had wifi setup and on already that would cause a crash. and sometimes you get crashes on first boot after flash. i haven't had any crashes yet been almost two hours i guess.

hes not sharing per Bob's and my request. ;)

I will be uploading a new build here shortly. Checking on the low call volume and see if there is a possible fix. Thus far all I found is installing a app, or shyt I'm not going to hack in. ;)

Okey doke, you're the boss! I guess I'm just being impatient Cuz this has been an all day affair for me: jumping from build to build and testing - johnny knows was sup, he was a major help earlier. I'll be more patient, and on a side note: pg, I'm so glad you have a motion to work with. You're doin everyone here a huge favor by sprucing up this little phone of ours. I think it goes without saying that the same goes for Bobz and all the other masterminds in the lab.
EDIT: Damn that was quick! I guess patience can wait for another day! Downloading right now.

Well I believe johnny was one of em that got cm10.1 to build for em. If hes building from src hes more than welcome to post em up. I just prefer no builds of mine be cooked up w/o expressed permission.

For the miui lovers... I have given permission to someone who was wanting to port that. ;)

now for cm10.1... its so much nicer. ;)
 
With the New 0517 build, the call volume is ALOT lower. Way lower.

EDIT: Backlight issue doesn't appear at all.
EDIT2: If you record a video in 1080p, the entire thing is in a magenta hue.
EDIT3: Maps is wanting me to enable location access to lock onto my position when I already have it enabled.
 
yea i posted a cm10.1 that i built from source that included the sensor fix hk made after his initial release. haven't really had time to mess with that but i guess i do now ;)

i just tried recording a video in 1080 and it was perfect no magenta :confused:
maybe it's just the lighting and settings
