I only see the Korean/Chinese characters when I am receiving a call from someone not in my contacts. I flashed your 0517 build yesterday.

My call volume is pretty low. Also when I reboot the phone I have to toggle Airplane mode to fix my data.

I haven't really used the Navigation on it yet because I haven't reinstalled that app just yet.

All-in-all so far I am really enjoying this rom. Thank you to every one for putting in this much hard work to get it up and running as effectively as it is so far.
 
Guys flashing Bobz or Pg's ROM from Firmware C fixes magenta in 1080p record (except face Camera recording) and fixes GPS and In call Volume!! :D
Still trying to find any other bugs. And none so far! ^_^

GPS navigation, or just regular gps?
 
I am in C, if I go through flashing again and still have no GPS I'm going to be heated :mad:

I call BS. Just reinstalled from C and still no GPS and call volume still sucks. Don't waste your time

Twenty minutes if this and nothing to show for it.. pffffffffft

dude, chill! It's not perfect! idk how involved yu are here, but yu know we cant fix every bug here and there, we have to be patient and try to figure out wats going wrong that isn't allowing yu to actually get gps lock, but we know this currently(i dont follow this thread so please correct me if I'm wrong) an issue.
 
Did you even read my posts at all? A couple posts above mine, someone said flashing from stock version C would fix GPS and call volume. I took my own precious time to try it, seeing as how I was already on c. It didn't work. So rather than have people use the unbrick method to get to C, then flash the rom thinking it would fix all the bugs, I posted proof that it didn't work. I probably just saved at least ten people a couple hours of aggravation. Maybe you should chill.
 
everyone's phone may, keyword here, may act differently than other's. A logcat may help determine the root of the problem. In the OP or maybe PG could chime in, it states what may work best, i dont own a motion anymore(screen/hardware issues), i cant troubleshoot/help you. im just saying everyone knows the risk of bugs in there phone's while in installing custom software, i took my risks i bricked(different phone) didnt say anything cuz i know what might happen.


im not here to argue or cause any argument, im just saying what i know, so please just cut it out myself included, someone will hopefully soon come around and offer some help.

Menu, tools, manage A-GPS - first reset and then download.

There's a bit of GPS (ephemeris tables) that can live below the rom and get tangled.

It varies by phone model, I make no promises but this trick has helped similar situations I've seen.

It can't hurt anything, I use it myself when my GPS acts up.

Can't help with the volume, sorry.

PS - if GPS Status is helping, go ahead and calibrate compass and pitch and roll.
 
Alot of phones have GPS issues with cm. I've heard before you reboot to cm open maps and lock onto a satellite. Not sure that it will work for us with 2nd into recovery but its worth a shot. Also in GPS settings checking internal antenna got me locked on but no turn by turn. I would test it but I'm stuck on 1x so GPS is useless anyway.

I'm not trying to argue either. I had an hour of free time, figured I would give this a shot seeing as I was already running C. Didn't want a bunch of people wasting time if it were not going to work.
 
Everyones phone is different. Idk what i did but all i did was flash his rom and then flashed c modem ( dont know if that was necesaary) but yea and then thats it. Oh and also Agps

Edit: im not using google maps by the way

So... what app are you using then?
 
I can't say for sure why you don't have issues when everyone else does. What are you using in place of maps? Maybe it is a problem with the rom interacting with Google maps.. I am more than willing to try again. I had to do a hard reset to go back to C which wiped my phone completely, so when I went from C to CM10, it was as cleanly as possible. I would be more than willing to try it a third time though. I have a backup of C from yesterday so reinstalling is only a ten minute process.

And im using an app called navigator. And i tested alot of other gps apps and most of them work.
 
I don't think you understand what I am saying... I had to hard reset, wiped my entire phone, every-damn-thing.. I then installed CM10, on a clean install of version C, and the GPS was still broken.

That is why I wanted to know what you were using in place of maps, maybe maps is the issue and not the rom. Not calling you a liar, not trying to get snippy, just want to know what I should be using before I try this again. That's all.
