Root [ROM][WIP]CM10.0.0.l0-BobZ

i'm sure it's all fixable. but i'm still waitin on lg repair to return my phone because i won't post a fix or rom or a flashable that i haven't tested on my phone first.

Will you also fix the vibration when you receive notifications? Because that and the small are the only things not working?

Question, Because we have a locked boot loader we can Modify stock at all correct, other than removing apps. But we cant center clock or remove AM/PM. Right.

You can just decompile system ui and edit statusbar.XML for the center clock. And you have to edit clock.Smali for am/pm but I havnt figured out how yet.

Any tips on where to begin on getting sms/mms to work on Hroak build? If it works in one, I'm pretty sure it can work on hroak's which is nearly the most complete ROM to date.

Instead of complaining (repeating the SAME GOD DAMN thing in this thread), I think it's best for someone to step up to the plate. I, myself have no idea where in the world to start, but at least I'm willing to try and FIX AN ISSUE to get a rom nearly 100% complete.

I'm about to learn how to build my own ROM. If you can help please PM me. I might have tons of questions, but I think I have enough of experience (not with phones, but what's the difference LOL).

EDIT:
Hypothesis:
Replace Hroak's "framework.jar" and "mms.apk" with bobz or PG's "framework.jar" and "mms.apk"
More specifically speaking the "classes.dex" needs to be dited to something like PG's or Bobz.
I do not know how to decompile/compile.

I think this would probably fix it, but what do I know :/

If anyone would link me to something useful please do so.

This is a cross-quote from TheDemon's MIUI ROM thread. It details just what's wrong with SMS/MMS on hroark's build. I know I should have posted this ages ago, but I've been far too busy with work.

Alright here's what's happening.

The reason why it's sending blanks.

The LG Optimus LTE2 is the device I'm porting from. Hk posted the link to the roms when he bricked his motion. Paranoid android, Miui, Cm10.1, AKOP.

I've ported over Paranoid Android it boots and all but it still has the blank texts. And that's when I realized.

It's a Korean device that has not made it to USA. So full Korean roms. It only displays english for us because of the base rom and build.prop. When you port roms you copy over apps, media, framework, and fonts. And that's the thing the framework. Korean sms encoding. They have different encoding than us. So when we send sms, it's encoding it as if it's korean. And since there's no actual korean characters it sends blanks. The original zip has a korean google keyboard with a dictionary pack. So I'm sure if you sent yourself something Korean it would show up perfectly if metro allows it.

I tried a ton of things last night to fix this problem. The problem is the framework.jar

I tried replacing files with the ones in our cm10. But no go.
I think I have found a fix. I will try in like 30mins. (doing something with my motion). Unless someone would like to test it for me. That would be great.

Anyways problem identified c:

Edit.
Taking a short break from miui. If anyone would like to try to fix the problem message me I'll give all details.

Working on cm10.1 again and then Paranoid Android.

So in theory this idea should work if I pull the frameworks etc from BOBz rom?

I just took tried a quick/"stupid" step in which I just replaced the files in hroak's zip from the files in bob'z zip. I was praying to god it would work (although logic told me otherwise it wouldn't).

It's late, and I'm barely learning about this. I'm pretty certain I can get it to work, but I just soft-bricked and had to unbrick. It's late for me and I have work in the AM. Hopefully, there is some downtime so I can understand the process much better. For now, I need a phone that works and will be running on STOCK until tomorrow.

If someone figures this out before me, please PM me explaining what you did.

Fixed the keyboard issue.. I disabled android keyboard, rebooted, and swift automatically set itself as default.. Still don't know what's up with the wallpaper but I'm sure I'll figure it out somehow.

EDIT: Fixed it.. Changed density in build prop..
