Root [ROM][WIP]CM7.2.0 RC1-BobZ

i flashed the rom and my phone comes to the activation screen. says i have to activate the service...im really pissed!!

Now don't be a dick and someone will help you. You ****ed up installing CWM nothing to do with this rom.

If you have a good prl call metro and have them help you program, if you can't get any metro service try installing a prl...

my bad man im not angry at you guys bt on my phone..
i do have a good prl, i initialy lost my meid and esn but resstored it and now it shows wrong phone number and still asks for activation.. so could u tell me which number to call and what to say to them. cz i have custom rom by reppard running rite now so does that make any difference?

Just try and relax a little - I'm sure someone will help you soon. How did you flash the ROM, using which recovery? If you haven't already mentioned, maybe put details of all steps you used or whatever you did to flash ROM :)

initially i installed the new recovery and flashed the bobz new rom... then the phone got stuck on boot screen..then after 15 mins i pulled out the battery and then again same thing.. so i wiped out data and flashed the sense rom.. dint work stuck on the bootscreen..finaly used lgpnst and redid the stuff and install first custom recovery by joneidy .. and flashed 3 different roms starting bobz cm7.1, sense rom, finally reppards rom worked but i now had signal but no meid, esn. so followed the guide to restore meid and esn.. succeeded in restoring but phone number still not right and phone asks me to activate it.
thats where i m now.

Sorry you're having many problems - can understand as I went through that quite a bit - lots of reboots, reflashing etc... lots of long nights trying to get this to work and probably something I may have been doing or not doing, but hang in there, it most likely will be resolved soon (and in process you'll become better at this). Wish I could offer more help but still new to this also. I had been using Sense ROM and last night flashed CM7.1-reppard, and been going great so far.

Did you do a NandBackup before flashing? Also in addition using Titanium BackUp Pro, to backup sys and apps (better to be safe)

You have to restore your phone in lgnpst to the stock non-root rom to be able to do ANYTHING about restoring service, only thing you can do on a custom rom is change a prl.

do me a favor, IN STOCK ROM dial ##6268 and see if 000000 or 587846 is the right code, if 587846 works call metro from another phone and have them help you program, if 000000 gets you in, sorry bout your luck but you need to come to my thread and you won't leave there with working data yet but I can promise working calls and texts.

He is beyond a nand backup, he needs a MDN and MIN programmed.

Okay ~ cool - knew you'd come to the rescue - thanks ;) Hopefully he'll get it worked out (know can be very frustrating -and if new, to the point you can't think straight) :)

Sorry to here about your problems, but more than likely it was lgpnst that messed up your phone. None of the ROM's you mentioned would have given you the issue, because all those ROM's where built for your phone.
I did add Over Clocking that may have been to high for your phone to handle and is probably why you got stuck on the boot screen. After the second try, you should have restored your backup that you should have made before flashing any ROM.
You need to flash back to stock and call Metro, they should be able to help you. Good Luck!

Improper CWM install messed his phone up, I'm trying to get him back up and running.


If you added OC you should set the default max clock to 728 because there a lots of phones such as mine that will not boot on any higher speed. Haven't heard of one not booting 728 tho.
 
thanks guys for your help..im gonna try these things out right now... i was wondering that i have a nand backup on my other sd card should i try that out??
 
i restored the stock rom..now what should i tell metro... i mean what to say to them what happened and what i want..
sry 4 d question cz i never consulted there customer service for anything

i guess you are right.. cz when did the lgpnst thing it booted my phone up and went through al the instructions and suddenly rebooted it and that is when i lost the stuff i guess.

i try to call ##6268 and it dials it and says LA02 your call cannot be completed as dialed.. :confused:

Maybe they won't ask (or you won't need to explain all details) just let them know that it's missing and you don't know why or what could have happened (just idea) - well maybe someone will have better suggestion.

Must be on stock rom, Dial ##626*, you do not press send pressing star will open up a window.

dont tell metro crap how anything happened. say my phone needs programmed. if they hear root or rom they will plug their ears and say lalala lol
