Root [ROM][WIP]CM7.2.0 RC1-BobZ

First install a alternative ROM (or the older version of Bobz ROM) Then reboot into recovery, goto Backup/Restore goto Nand backup and just backup Boot (Unselect System, Data and Cache.) Then flash The new 7.2 ROM and once again boot into recovery and restore the Boot backup you just made and everything will work fine. I hope this helped.

P.S. I have the older version of the ROM incase you need it...

Thanks for the the quick responce. but can i do that with joneidy's custom recovery, i dont see that option. Do i have to change the recovery program?

Well I tried this and now I'm stuck at the second LG screen, it still won't boot. I waited about 6-7 minutes and said f-It. Anyother workarounds?

well so far no luck trying to replace joneidy's recovery with CWM and ROM Manager. I follow the steps and it works but when I reboot it goes back to joneidy. Any suggestions?

k, must be the changes applied to the kernel then...I'll have to revert them. I'll post another build on Friday.

Thank you for all the great work bob. I just flashed back to the previous version and even without this latest update it's still the best ROM for our phones!

Thanks. I haven't had a chance to try out either of the other two yet (got em both downloaded though), but will wait now for the new one.

I reverted back to kernel v10 that was bootable.
If this kernel boots, I'll have to try adding only one change at a time to the kernel to see what code broke it.
Added to this build is the ability to use adb over networks.
You have to go into wireless settings to get your ip address, then go into development and enable adb over networks, then connect from a command prompt with:
adb connect IP_ADDRESS:5555

So for example: adb connect 192.168.1.2:5555

Thanks. I'm downloading now. Hopefully I'll get a chance to flash it and try it out, soon.

I'd like to say: 1. I NEED A2SD TO WORK! I have a lot of apps that use a lot of memory and it seems that this R.O.M. does not use the space I allotted on my ext 3 for app storage. 2. I love that you fixed it so that I can use my headphones. That's the reason I tried this R.O.M. [coming from Reppard's] in the first place.

Edit: I used a different kernel because it wouldn't boot yesterday. Maybe that was the problem. I'll let you know in a few minutes.

Minutes Later: Still doesn't install all of my apps.

a2sd was removed from this rom but you can install it yourself
but I agree with you I like this rom because of the headphones fix I just couldn't get it to boot
