Root [ROM][WIP]CM7.2.0 RC1-BobZ

I'd like to say: 1. I NEED A2SD TO WORK! I have a lot of apps that use a lot of memory and it seems that this R.O.M. does not use the space I allotted on my ext 3 for app storage. 2. I love that you fixed it so that I can use my headphones. That's the reason I tried this R.O.M. [coming from Reppard's] in the first place.

You could also try out Link2SD, it creates symbolic links to apps as opposed to just sending them over to SD which can break some of the apps. I also find it more reliable than A2SD.

Latest build is super snappy and works great! one bug though:0 The center clock mod messed up. The clock doesn't show in the status bar regardless now of placing. Other than that tis perfecto! Thank you Bob! ^^ Hope to see more from you.

It was on the second from last page

Well, I'm in the process of updating to ZV7 2.2.2. Will take about an hour. (and its really hard to type this out when its blocking half of my 10" screen lol.)

Updated, rooted, GNM recovery, and in the process of nandroiding. When done, will upload boot.img to dropbox and provide link.

Here's the stock boot.img from MS690VZ7..

And if mms is fixed as well? Or if we have a quick fix for it? Lol

There is a quick fix already.. all you do is flash metroff.zip and go to voice dialer say "open apns" then find the one that says "metropcs" click it and it should open, then click password and Change it to "mymetro" then click menu then save. Enable it and reboot.

is this a gurantee fix? :D

I tried to flash this ROM earlier today but it would be stuck at the boot animation for a really long time. I let it try to boot for like 20 or so minutes, and nothing happened. I flashed the ROM (of course), the kernal, gapps, and metro on/off all at once. I wiped everything, made a backup, etc. I dunno why this is happening, my phone has never done this when flashing a new ROM O.e Can anyone help? Thanks.

In recovery, try wiping/formatting everything EXCEPT SDcard and flash only the rom...then reboot to see if it boots. If it does boot, then reboot back into recovery and flash only gapps...then reboot to see if it boots. If it does boot, then test mms...if mms don't work then reboot back into recovery and flash metro_off.

Hey Bob everything is working fine for me on this rom. I fallowed the directions on how to get mms working, i haven't had any problems ( i flashed it yesterday ). Thank you for your work keeping this updated. Greatly appreciated!

agree with him ^^^
I love cm7 but I need wired headset and mms and this is the only cm7 that has that! this rom should keep me satisfied till Tripdoc is done with CM9 :D

Something about this latest ROM, and it could just be CM7.2, is I noticed the scrolling is a bit erratic. For example, on your previous build whenever I opened the app homescreen and scrolled through the list it is smooth and has no lag whatsoever. But with the latest build when I try the same I notice a tiny but consistent skip in the scroll. It happens with any CPU governor applied and no other advanced settings seems to have an effect on it.

I will wait till CM7.2 becomes more stable as I believe it may be due to that. I hope it gets resolved! Scrolling lag is a big pet peeve of mine :P
