Root [ROM][WIP]CM7.2.0 RC1-BobZ

I have flashed BobZ's rom a few times in the last few weeks and never had Caller ID working. I am now using Reppard's and it works out of the box.

BobZ has the best overall cm7 rom IMO, but I need my caller ID so I gonna use Reppards for the time being.

This ROM is great, and works like a charm my little niggle notwithstanding.

I just installed this ROM yesterday and I have noticed a few problems so far. First off whenever I change a setting, it requires a restart for it to actually do change the setting (ie airplane mode) Second, MMS is still a hit or miss. I can receive pictures just can't send. Otherwise amazing rom! I love it except for those issues.
 
o swear i love this rom and the exact overall FEEL of it, my only problem is the MMS i tried every single patch and turn the roaming nd auto retrieve on and nothing, i was able to send pics but could not receive, other then this it was great, right now im going back reppards :( i hope you can fix this bob, you've built greatness in out metro pieces of shit.

The MMS does work the first patch worked for me just go into recovery flash it then go to voice dial say open apns and check the circle should work

i would flash the rom boot and then go flash the mms patch. yet im using the second link too. yep i can send and receive videos and pictures

Ok am i going to wipe the entire phone fresh, load up the second build once again, restart the phone and let it load for a few mins, turn off and go back into recovery, flash the mms patch with the first link that you said worked, and boot and hope for prayer. is there anything else that need to be done once you flash and reboot?

nope thats it. flash the rom reboot let it run then reboot recovery and flash gapps and the mms patch same time and reboot should work

i didnt flash gapps, do you have to flash gapps to get MMS to work? and also after every MMS patch you do have to open APN and check the box correct?

i dont know if it had anything to do with mms working but that was the order i was doing. yes ope apn and make sure its checked
 
He also has to change the password to "mymetro" (without quotes), in the link with wap.metropcs.net in his APNS, after he flashes the MMS fix.

Thanks to you I added change password part to my guide, and I figured you should change the username if it doesn't automatically...

Also I hope this guide works for everyone, if you have flashed one MMS and it doesn't work after this, you must start over from first reflashing his ROM before flashing another MMS
 
Hey, when i flash the rom it just gets stuck at the lg logo and i tried to wipe and reset to factory settings but it still does the same thing
 
I fixed MMS to work out of the box:
CM7.2.0RC0-MS690-BobZhome-031712.zip

I will leave link working, but removed from this post if BobZhome adds this to his OP

EDIT:
I am not able to test MMS at all because I don't have service for not paying phone bill, but I have applied this fix to another ROM and it was confirmed to work.

EDIT: Tried it on my mom's phone, it works :D

Update:
I got it working on my mom's phone so now ik for sure it works. She was never able to send with a stock ROM even with the 2.2.2 update. :)
