Now that you mention it, I was having similar issues with Netflix on GoogleTV which were solved by turning everything off, letting the router reboot, then letting the Revue reboot. I'll flash PG's again, and try it.

hey forum. i have been reading for a while, but finally decided to register and join the convos. i have an ascend and i am currently on "cm7.1-ascend-06242011" and my camera works, but any other apps that use the camera force close. is anybody else experiencing this? are there any fixes? or any other roms without this problem?

CM7 for any phone, has problems with camera apps. CM7 does not like them.. not sure why though, but CM6 does not have that problem! there are no fixes

Okay. I'm on vacation so I only have access to one WiFi, but the neighbors show up too, which helped me analyze things. I did a completely clean flash of 0624, gave it a chance to settle in, rebooted the modem, turned on the WiFi analyzer, and connected to my point. It still dropped like clockwork. But after watching the analyzer (it refreshes every second or two, so I made sure that I was catching refreshes during drops,) I was pretty sure the WiFi drops weren't due to CM7. I never lost my WiFi signals, they all stayed steady. I only lost web connectivity. Every time I've had that issue in the past across various platforms, it's always been a modem issue.

that sucks, but atlease you know where the issue is coming from.:confused:

Well, I have Bob's latest running somewhat smoothly (read boot hang ups) as long as I don't OC over 691, so it's not a big deal (I think I have the laziest Ascend ever made.) For some reason, the modem doesn't like PG's 0624, but I've had stranger modem issues.

Yeeeesss! I finally got my weird little ascend to boot into recovery. I clicked the flash cwm option a second time and it still didn't seem to work. So I went to the cm7 wiki and dled the cwm 3.0.0.5 Image from there. I was going to try reflash manually. However i decided to try clicking flash cwm again for the hell of it and then boot to recovery using volume up send pwr and finally Bam!! I was in recovery! So I did a nandroid backup and then I will attempt to flash cm7... I wonder if downloading the 2nd image helped me to finally get into recovery, hmmm:rolleyes: anyway...

and i will throw in a 16GB class 10 sdcard along with it.
 
can some one please help me i installed cm7 ascend on my phone last night and i don't understand what i did but after that my phone is frozen on a blue android screen an i tried taken out the battery an that didn't work i don't know what to do unfreeze it can you help me please?

you must of ran a build that your phone cannot handle. let me guess is it a playfulGod ROM build. try another CM7 that oc to 691. bobzhome!
 
I am no longer able to release new builds...I no longer have the Ascend to test with. The Ascend was my wife's phone and she wanted a phone with a physical keyboard. I was hoping to release one more good build before the phone got sold, but I encountered a lot of problems with the build this week, and it didn't happen. I have updated CM7-Ascend-BobZ - Prepaid Android with all my recent builds. My repo is located at https://github.com/BobZhome in case anyone what's to continue with the Ascend development.
