Root [ROM][WIP] CyanogenMod 7 | Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) | Current Version: 09122011

I would say tha huawei ascend by far is one of tha best low end android phones out for now.Look at all tha mods you can do with it my gurl has a sony ericsson xperia x10a and its os is 1.6 she cant even really mod her phone like we do our ascend's thats why i love this phone it's 100% mod ready for damn near wat we throw at it!

+1 DITTO W/CRICKET. Dial *228 & if that doesn't help dial 611 & talk to a customer service rep,explaining your situation.They can do something on their end to help you(magic) ;). Seriously, they'll do whatever it is they do & then will probably instruct you to turn off your phone,pull the battery,wait 5 minutes,& then re-install the battery,reboot & you should be good to go.
 
Every time i install CM6 or CM7 i do a backup, but every time my apps/files or gone. Is there a tutorial on how to keeps my apps? I'm tired of re-downloading everything.
 
Hi I have been having problems finding a link for the lastest gapps. Every one I try doesnt seem to download fully. Only getting approximately. 5.00 k? ?
Does anyone have a link I could use? thank you:)

I didn't know about this! (big surprise, I get all my info here lol) I still have my LG Lyric and just for fun I am going to switch to it for a week. (or as long as I can stand to...)

On another note, Nutmeg I wanted to let you know that since I've switched to the newer ROM (BOBZ 7-01 currently) I have not had anymore wifi issues i.e. disconnect-reconnecting every 20 seconds. Do you know of any other changes to this ROM in the wifi department other than the MAC address? Just curious as to what ultimately fixed this issue. Thanks!
 
I can only overclock to 672 if I go any higher my Ascend locks up. But I see some of you are at 710 with no issues. What did I do wrong? Otherwise my Ascend runs flawless with CM7
 
I can't get the CWM .img file to mount. Anyone know if there is a download for the files in their regular format anywhere? (God, I hate when files are .img or .iso for no good reason...)

what cwm you trying to install?
 
hello I just flashed my phone with the CM7 and everything seems to be working well all for one thing. While trying to use my wired headset that came with the phone for a call I get no audio or mic. I can get audio for music, but not for phone calls.
I went into the sound settings any everything seems fine in there.
The person on the other end of the call cant hear me either.
I've even tried other 2.5mm headsets and non work.


any ideas on how to fix this issue?
Do i need to reflash? Should I try a different CM7 build like kmod or something?
pls help

with cm6 it will work, but for cm7 some have got it to work on older builds but cm7 doesnt seem to like it, you can try sounds route switch or an alternate app from market and test it, but the best way to go is get a good bluetooth headset.

mount? flash it via fastboot or u can install it in rom manager.

I actually had the exact same issue. Go into settings>call settings and make sure the "Voice Privacy" box is unchecked. This is what I did and that fixed it.
 
So reading some of the earlier posts in this thread... is the going to be the last CM7 build? It seems like everybody's moving on to bigger, better things. Which is totally cool. I probably will be myself pretty soon (I'm going to be learning Android app development, so I'm keeping my Ascend as a dev phone and getting something better that I'm not going to root/mod for my actual daily use).

This forum is too fun. Everyone here is so supportive and great. Ah.. Memories.

I plan on still making small changes and improvements to CM7-Ascend as its my dev learning tooland have a build in progress just have some strange issues I cant seem to find thats causing wifi and bluetooth and maybe more to not work at all.
