Root [ROM][WIP] CyanogenMod 7 | Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) | Current Version: 09122011

Hi well, i just flashed cm7 (playfulgod's) and my phone is caught in a boot loop:( not sure were to go from here. i'd like to get back to my original state 2.2.2 i did make a nandroid bu should i pull the battery?

Also make sure you have CWM flashed properly. I got bootloop the first time I tried to flash because CWM wasn't working right.
 
I am running PG (0624). Its running great! I have noticed that when my phone sleeps or my screen lock the clock stops running. Which is ok because as soon as I open my phone the time adjust to the correct time. The issue is my alarm clock because of the freeze in the clock my alarm NEVER goes off :(. Luckily I'm programmed to wake up around the same time. But not this week I really need my alarm to work and my clock to NOT freeze! Can anybody help me? And I can't find the thread that mentions where everyone is going? Is there a phone coming out I don't know about?

When using your phone as a alarm at home while you sleep is easy (dunno why some have such a issue with it), but in settings > applications > development, you can set the phone to stay awake while charging. And must ppl I now this is when they charge their phones any way so its not to much hassle IMO.

how do u know if cwm is working properly? I did have some issues getting it flashed, but it seems to be working fine. I was atleast able to restore a backup with it no probs.

Yeah I have the issue off and on too.. Another way around it is to leave the clock app open.. Don't remember if I've done it yet with it unplugged on this build but im assuming it'll work the same..
 
I have a question how come with bobs new build opera mini browser v6.1 works for a couple days then it stops and a message pops up about check your connection!?I have no problem with skyfire or dolphin mini just opera!

I had the same prob. Leaving the clock on made my phone freeze up on me until reboot, and still didn't help with alarm prob. I finally ended up dl a mp4 of ocean sounds white noise, put it on repeate, and then setup my alarm to goto Media player when it activates (So snooze will work.)

Works great now, everytime. Hope that helps ya.:eek:

I would actually like to see the solution to this as well.. I had to buy an actual alarm clock for the first time in years because of this.
 
but on a serious note. with all the diferent problems some of us have could "wiping to flash" play any part? i flashed back to 2.1 & my PC reconized my phone but everytime i click to open it does nothing.

I've noticed this problem as well, because of this and because my battery life with cm7 was terrible. I switched back to stock 2.1; I could have dealt with the problems but I really need my alarm and my battery to be working for school.

THE ALARM WORKS! All you have to do is put the alarm in screensaver mode & plug in if necessary/possible.
That's it,it works perfectly.
I work a full time job & this phone is my only alarm & I have yet to miss a day or be late for work due to any alarm issues.

I never had battery issues on cm7 on my ascend, hell it was 100% better with cm7 than it ever was on stock.

I'm not sure why my phone has a battery problem with cm7. I only get several hours on CM7 and switching back to stock I get 3 days. I know that I'm not the only one with the problem though, you will see if you do a goodle search.

another reason for my switching back to stock is that I really like the stock apps, launcher, mms, call, and contacts and I cant find a way to install them.
 
ok QUESTION.....im running cm7 06242011 nd i want the Honeycomb-3D SB Theme nd wen i install it it downloads but it doest say install. most of the time it gets to 100 % nd starts over.. please help..
