I used the one you recommended when I re-did the flash of cm7 and followed your instructions when flashing the fix using 2.5. I don't make a habit of skipping steps. I can send mms and recieve mms from certain people, but I do know if I did somthing incorrectly or if its the fact I live in a area of fl with not so great service reception.

might be your area...how many bars you have normally...

I live in St. Petersburg. I never get more than 2 bars ever. Yet my MMS works just fine with the APN settings I'd put. >.>

yep in my area i get 2 bars while inside the house and still can send/receive but crazy thing is when i go outside i get full bars...lol

You probably live in a home filled with signal killing power too. It's like ninja magic that obstructs the data fairy. :P (I'm in a goofy mood)
 
I dont get more than one bar at most in my apartment...and its wierd because I get mms from some and nothing from others. My best friend has the first smart phone metro came out with, not sure I recall the name of it...but I dont get anything she sends me.

metro is weird like that....even on none smart phones peoples have problems sending and receiving...
 
i put it on and have not had problems. it actually made it faster and being able to install apps on the sd made things 10 times better. couple things i ran in to though was problems with Bluetooth and usb connections to stereos

bluetooth should be working fine, but reboot into recover and fix permissions, next check your BT in settings and for using usb to the stereoo is not going to work in cm6/cm7....hope this helps!
 
Hey I'm new to this, have Huawei Ascend on Cricket. Bird's eye view...what do I need to install? Just CM7? I already have phone rooted with z4. Saw the step by step guide. Not sure if I need to install EVERYTHING there in order as it appears (or just Clockwork and CM7?).

Just cwm and cm7. I recommended you backup your apps too.

Of course. Also, after backing up, installing cwm, and cm7, do I need to go in and re-input settings that Cricket did to make my phone work with my phone number? Is Messaging confirmed to work on Cricket?

I have a friend on Cricket who is using Cm7. He said it worked right away. ^.^
 
Awesome. I can fast boot but when I run 3rd item "install-recovery-windows.bat" it is stuck on "waiting for device". How to correct?

From what i have found around the forum it looks like you need to update your drivers. Other people have had this problem. But I believe you can install cwm with a terminal emulator there is a thread around here somewhere explaining it.
