I think I posted somthing on twitter asking when the new build will be out...lol thats my fault , I thought I canceled it before it posted. Sorry Isaac
 
I have some comments to make to this thread as well.

I am having the same problems as the OP, but I actually was able to get it installed twice. Fully functional and everything.

Once I reboot, it hangs at the Huawei screen.

So I can get it to install, but not to function properly.

Has anyone gotten this far?

I suppose if I don't turn my phone off it might work lol

I reboot mine all the time with no problems. What is your cpu set to?

Nah, man. It's cool. Just PM gets all full.

More important news, I think I've finally squashed the USB mounting issues. On the latest test build I'm running, I'm able to add and delete files with no problems. I haven't tried on Windows yet, but I will.

I've even rebooted it, wiped it, formatted the SDCARD, everything I can think of to make it stop working and it still does. I added a whole CD, the latest build of CM7-Ascend and it's still working. So, cross your fingers.
 
so many issues, so many different ascends...it shows that 2.3 is not meant for ascend, but we running it...lol...i sugget everyone revert back to 05 or 07 until the next build comes out...check wiki daily as it is updated constantly. CM7-Ascend - Prepaid Android

go to spare parts and end button behavior you can change it from there. you can make it do nothing at all, go to home screen, go to sleep which apparently you don't like, or go to home then sleep, your decision.
 
Hello everyone, just waving a hand. This forum has been very useful and I thank everyone, especially nuttmeg for his patience and helping hand for bringing me this far. I love my ascend which now runs very fast and smooth. :cool:
 
I feel lucky as I'm running 09 with no problems now. I had an issue with Wifi tether but it was resolved by re-flashing (of course). OC'd @748 too! ;)

also to all: I'm looking into purchasing a Droid X that I will be flashing to Cricket, if anyone has any leads on one please let me know or send me a PM. Thanks in advance:D

Tested on windows, with everything i can think of also and no errors...can still send files to sd, copy and paste and also delete files...
 
I'm a noob to flashing and have a stupid question, well if there are stupid questions. I down load files from Pre paid Android and "save" to my sd card, then when I fastboot and plug into my computer I get lost. I am very confident that I can flash to CM7, after I get past this part, everything else is pretty self explanatory. Please PM if you would help me, thank you.

Post #2, if you already downloaded a different version of cwm, like 3.XXX, it has the same steps to install.

Thanks man. I appreciate the support. :)

Also, I have some really awesome news. CM7-Ascend is now in ROM Manager! You can simply go into ROM Manager, grab the latest build, latest gapps and simply flash. Also, if new builds come, you can simply grab those as well and stay up-to-date!

Also, I'll upload MetrOFF to ROM Manager so that you can simply flash it from ROM Manager as well! Pretty freaking sweet if you ask me.

I've stopped building CWM versions and I no longer support CWM 3.0.2.8. I'm asking all users to use the official CWM 3.0.0.5 found in ROM Manager. This isn't a big deal as ROM Manager will force you to install CWM 3.0.0.5 before you can do anything else within it.

A new build 05122011 is already available with a [confirmed] USB mounting fix.

Do you need the paid for version in order to access the rom or is there a way around it? I purchased it, i'm gonna need it anyways. But i know a lot of people are going to be asking.
