I'm currently running 0509 and have been since it came out but, just recently meaning today, I can not transfer files to the SD via USB. I know that this has been an issue and was recently fixed but my question is, since this just started happening, could this be a sign of my SD card going bad? or Could this just possibly be the USB mounting issue finally showing itself? I know its kinda hard to determine whether either one is correct but has anyone else had this issue after running the ROM's for nearly a month?

I'm new here but have found that your guides and instructions are very very clear and easy to follow. Has anyone had problem with the Ascend getting stuck on the red/black/green boot screen after flashing 5/21 ?? I had flashed 5/14 and it worked fine. No matter what I do, I can not get this version to flash propperly. Any help would be appreciated! (my other option is to us 5/14) :|

Before i switched to cm7 frum cm6 i formatted my micro sd card for my huawei ascend then went on to install cm7 everything works great but when i tap the stock music player icon it shows no music files wat so ever!?I have alot of music on my sd card so i know its there and i cant switch my ringtones to mp3's because of this problem do i have to reformat my sd card?
just flashed it and wiped everything as called for and installed the 0521 then gapps so far so good...did you make sure you wiped everything your supposed to and reinstalled gapps?
did you place the files back on the sd after formatting? if not then you might want to try this
Also, after you install the newest cm7 and gapps you must reformat your card, only once. this is in isaacj's instructions at the bottom of the wiki page

that build had mounting issues, and the 0514 had been fix for that issue, and0521 is stable, with everything working.
did you format boot,data,vavhe,system under mounts/storage?
Alright.. I've never had problems with the previous builds AT ALL, but TWICE already on this build my phone has unexpectedly restarted after working fine for hours and will not move away from the red ascend m860 startup screen. I have no choice but to reinstall CM7 again! Any idea why this could be happening??

did you format boot,data,cache,system under mounts/storage?

I formatted threw the computer i think i made a mistake doing that?
yes use CWM its fixable just boot into recovery and format sd card under mounts and storage
only thing i can come up with then is placing the two files freshly back onto the SD and retrying the installation again, if all else fails then maybe you try redownloading the files and repeating this process
frustrating I know but if done correctly everything should function properly as i just flashed 30 mins ago 0521 and have had no problems so far
guess it was just an issue with 0509 like you said that just hadn't shown itself until today, updated and everything is running smoother than ever, now to restore all my non market apps

Its important to read everything twice on the wiki to reduce your chances of issue
not saying you didnt, but once re read you sometimes notice something that you skip, but not to worry with all the support on here you cant brick this lil engine that could ascend....NOTE: The SDcard might need to be formatted. DO THIS WITHIN CLOCKWORKMOD! If you're running any build later than 05022011, then you should only need to this once. It's not necessary to format the card every time you flash a new build.
I just formated the SD and now replacing everything on it... going thru all the steps again... fingers crossed..
very stable! i ran it flawlessly, only issue i had was there were no OC settings, had to get setCPU which isn't a real big issue
EDIT: when you formatted did you use CWM or your pc? you MUST use CWM to format the card
I did format from CWM. Transfered the SD to my laptop and put everything back onto it (zips) Heck... I can't get CM6 to load either!

Not to sound like a dick but i have the latest cwm how do you format the sd card threw that?

Pull battery and pull sd card out and see if it boots. If it does, then there's something wrong with your card. If it don't boot, then re-flash.I did format from CWM. Transfered the SD to my laptop and put everything back onto it (zips) Heck... I can't get CM6 to load either!
You will see "Partition SD Card"...that's how you format it
Try a reboot...fixed it for me
