well APN manager shows hidden files, but if i were you, i would still light up the green switch

@Ashley I would conclude the overall problems for those whom the fix will not work for is related to the CM7 build and not the carriers. If you were to go back to CM6 that would verify my assumption.

Im still stock... Just rooted... I tried everything from *228 ta turnin wifi and airplane mode on and off.. My internet and mms and market are unaccessible and the 3g icon doesnt even appear but in settings you can see it is attempting to connect
 
For anyone that is still having data or SMS/MMS issues & have exhausted all possible avenues,if you are able to,unroot & flash back to stock & visit a CORPORATE CRICKET/METRO PCS Location & demand that they restore data/SMS/MMS or replace your phone.

I had that problem, then finally realized I had to look really, REALLY hard at all my Juice Defender options. They were messing around with stuff, and it took a good while to read about every option thoroughly, and adjust things until it all worked right. Well worth the time spent, too.

Pocket is an equivalent to cricket and metro... We dont have metro in san antone but we had pocket and cricket competing for a while... b4 cricket became cheaper pocket sprang out of no where (regional carrier mostly south texas such as the valley / del rio pretty much along route 37 lol) but was a big hit offering mobile service for $25 a month.. And yes tht was talk txt n pix = ta crickets $30/$35 plan... With no contracts as well ... But pocket did have nice ppl @ customer service tho unlike crickets

But like I said pocket sold out to cricket so now you dont have to worry ... Pocket is now cricket lol
 
Well I got CM7 and I have a hardtime downloading MMS, it would say downloading then it would go back to the download button, like I never pushed it to download and I wont be able to download my mms that I receive til the next day. Can you help?

on stock messaging or app messaging, but in settings i set it to automactic download, but if you are receiving a mms from iphone or htc or some sort thats a problem with cm7, but give the phone a reboot and try again, using stock messaging.

I just finished installing CM7 from the instructions (the most recent ones) and followed them to the letter! I am a very experienced tech guy and the install seemed to go just fine. Upon first arriving at the CM7 desktop, I setup my Google account, and downloaded a few of the apps it offered to install (gmail, maps, chrome to phone) and configured them.

Then I wanted to put on the MMS fix for Metro, but guess what? not only can I not seem to Power Off the phone, anytime I touch anything, and now completely on its own, the phone is just in a reboot cycle. It comes to the CM7 desktop, and if I don't get to the unlock screen within the first few seconds of its appearing, then the unlock screen won't unlock and instead the phone reboots. If I do make it to the unlock screen right away, the phone still reboots.

What can I do? I can still get into CWM 3.0.4.x by removing the battery, but can't seem to mount via USB while inside CWM Recovery... unless I just don't know the trick.

Help!! I was so excited to get on CM7...

In case it is important, prior to CM7 I was running Icarus 1.0.

I can probably restore to stock Metro and try from there again, rather than coming from Icarus, if that's a more compatible solution.

it sounds like your cm7.zip file didn't download right. just redownload and flash again.

i have never gotten usb mounting to work through cwm either but i use a $10 microsd reader that plugs in via usb. i got it at walgreens.

Thanks, I'll try that. Meanwhile, I went ahead and flashed it back to stock MetroPCS (have been wanting to try that anyway).

Another question, about restoring apps/data: I have Ti Backup Pro, and copied my full backup to my Dropbox, as well as copied the backup system before all this, to my PC's hard drive... So once I settle on a ROM, and reinstall Titanium, can I restore pretty much everything, or just apps and contacts, pictures, etc. (i.e. not system settings).

Try the app APN MANAGER from the ANDROID MARKET.
 
is there anyway to flash cm7 from my sd card onto the phone if cmr is not working correctly ? when i say that i mean theres a problem my my cache somehow, during back up attempts or trygin to flash to a new one it will not go further once its tries to restore cache or back it up. i cannot get past factory reset date wipe

hey kolio this is off-topic but i wanted to ask you something, in your information it says your running cm7, and have cpu boost, doesnt cm7 already come with a built in cpu changer? or is the app much better?

I use CPU BOOST PRO for the additional profiles that aren't in the stock CPU Settings.

It has added profiles of:

Screen on/off

Battery temp

Battery level


There are a couple of other features in CPU BOOST that are available & are useful however,I'm skipping those @ this time for brevity & I don't use them.Feel free to pick up the free version of CPU BOOST for those that are interested in learning of all the features it has to offer.

I only use the additional screen on/off profile in an attempt to extend battery life.

CPU BOOST PRO settings appears to mesh w/ the stock CPU settings as witnessed by the governor settings of INTERACTIVE & SMARTASS appearing in the governor section of CPU BOOST PRO,which are not stock to CPU BOOST PRO,but,to the stock CM7 CPU settings.
 
Is that the one the rom manager makes you download? if so im trying to back up my settings now to see how long it takes or if it freezes again when backing up cache ill let you know what happens
