are you trying to backup stock rom? if so dont worry about stock rom as we have them just in case you need it. But you should install 3.0.0.5 using the fastboot method with the file i send you...

Ok so ive managed to put the cwm on my phone but I was having trouble downloading the cm7 file for some reason the mediafire link wasnt working it just kept processing my download on phone and pc. So I decided to warm up with icarus. Now im confident enough to try m7 again but I try to download now and it says file not supported on my phone. How do I fix this and transition to cm7?

use your computer and download CM7-Ascend-05212011-signed.zip gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip but Do Not Extract It and transfer both files to sdcard.

So been trying to figure out why my head phones do not work while making and receiving calls. They work fine when listening to music or viewing youtube, ect.
But for some reason when I make calls or get a call the head phones will not output any sound.
Running CM7 Lastest build.

this is a known issue with cm7, but for cm6 i heard it works, also in the market a heard of a app called sound route but it cost $ and dont know if it works well, i just use bluetooth.

1) Copy "dload" folder to SD card
2) Switch off the handset ,then press "Volume Control Upper Key +End Key+ Power Key"
3) Showing successful
4) Remove battery one second ,then power on ,waiting till the os start up

Oh ok then you're having some totally other issues. If they are not resolved by now I would take the phone back.
CM6 has been working perfectly for me in all areas but I miss the additional settings and configs from cm7. I wish the builds could have been disrupted separate of carriers like they were with CM6. Either way I'm thankful for the the ROM and the support here from everyone.
icarus 1.1 is COMPLETELY stable along with the offical 2.2 and along with the regular 2.1

You're not using juice defender, are you? That was one of the issues I had with it at first.

try airplane mode for a few minutes than recheck, also when formatting in recovery, did you format boot, system, data, cache?

click the links in my siggy for cm6 and cm7, and icarus is only clock to 600mhz witch is what the stock rom was, but icarus was base off of 2.1 but tweak to speed things up and everything works in it also, just like everything works in cm6,\/7 but alot of peeps have problems with cm7, but every ascend is different, you have some ascend that are lazy and some that are not.

Thanks for the info, I will hold off on reflashing to another ROM. I love CM7 and have tried the others before (Even if only for a few hours) and CM7 seems to run best IMO.
The only downfall I see and that is bothering me is the In Call Head phone problem.
Are the Devs aware of this problem? Where can I send in a bug report?

you with cricket? than try this go into the wireless and network setting/went into wifi settings/pushed menu/pushed advanced/turned off the use static IP and it should work.
