Has anyone had a chance to check out the TeamWin recovery? Is it worth screwing with my Amon?

One of the major differences with the recovery is being able to flash different scripting. Amend or edify can be used by Amon Ra so there will be certain things that TeamWin recovery will not be able to flash.

If you want to update your recovery, I would reccomend using the newer Amon Ra Style recovery, found HERE. This recovery is a more up to date amon ra recovery with newer options, such as being able to restore nandroids from both amon ra and clockworkmod.

Highly recommend:D

awesome. sorry for the noob question but do i have to change the name of this file before updating in hboot?

Love the new amon ra update. Better layout, cooler color. Great. Also just wanted to put in a good word for OMFGB nightly. This is the best aosp ROM I've tried yet. Simple, stable as any sense I've flashed, tons of onboard theming options, beautiful, snappy. Don't hear a lot about it so I wanted to recommend for flash-happy fools like me. Well worth checking out.

Thanks for the update:)
+1 to the recovery:D

anybody know which is the newest ziggy kernel? for some reason i just can't seem to make heads or tails of his direct downloads page.

+1 to the new version of Amon Ra. Thanks a jillion for the link!!!

Yep, I finally broke down and loaded it.

the usb-ms toggle function seems to work a lot faster with that recovery!

I like the fact they put wipe sd card far down the list as well, always made me nervous I'd fat finger that option and be sorry... :p

sense, specifically, though i'd dig aosp info too, if anybody knows. thanks!

My good friend you need to read the kernel guide here KERNELS For Dummies.

But for a sense ROM the [KERNEL][SENSE] ChopSuey v.9.1 [OC/UC,UV,AVS,BFQ] v.9.2.7 test [HDMw1n kernel are good
and [Kernel][Sense][HDMwIn]Evo 4g Freedom-v0.9 Kernel GB MR 2.6.35.10
are good also best yet for gingerbread I think ziggys lagging it on putting out his
kernel for D/L on his page is ziggy471.com dont D/L any old stuff as it is for the
froyo.

Now for AOSP well the [Kernel][AOSP] Tiamat 4.1.0 | 2.6.38.8 10/13/11 is good and [KERNEL][AOSP][2.6.38.7] - Savaged-Zen v2.2.1! [HAVS+CFS/BFS!] UPDATED 6/1! is a good one too.

Thanks, sir! Chop suey 9.1 is my daily kernel. I dig the Freedom kernel too, but i find the suey snappier. Tiamat 4.0.1 is my fave aosp kernel, i find the Savaged-Zen screws up my YouTube... my only beef, otherwise it's slammin'. On Ziggy471.com he posted this last october about a new upcoming evo 4g kernel, i just couldn't find anything past april '11. Was trying to find out if someone knew something i didn't; I'd heard virus' new eternity port was using his latest. I just found his site to be unclear & messy. I always appreciate feedback, though. Good lookin' out, homie!

I just wanna say how jump up & down-kid at Christmas excited I am to get a lick of ice cream sandwich on my evo. Knowing the talent of our devs, it's gonna be all sorts of nasty, too. My flashing fingers are itchy!

Me too, I can hardly wait! I'm saving for a new phone but I'm going to hold off for a couple of months to see if any ICS ROMs appear :D

That's probably smart. Between htc's edge & zeta & the galaxy 3, it looks like next year is gonna be a quantum leap forward for quad core tech in handsets. Might as well enjoy the next wave of yummy ports & not get left behind with a new, yet outdated piece of equipment,ya know?
