I came in late on this one so is there a sub-forum for root only apps?
No decision has been reached yet. Phases is considering the options.

Oh, I thought we were going with a sticky.
If the staff wants to try to keep things separated into a root only subforum that is fine with me.
What about tags like the forums have, [game][app][root]?
^^Once again, I agree with the ape.

I'm not sure a lot of people search for applications that need root access, or at least I don't understand why they'd do that.

Plus, it'd be a huge chore to find and move all the correct threads to that section, which I'm not sure is worth the effort considering the fact that I don't see any real benefit for that section in the first place.
Just my opinion.![]()

).How about an All things root lounge or forum for non device specific root threads/questions which can include a root apps section or it can encompass root apps?
If not, I'm all for a root apps section by itself.
I do, just to find out what else is possible with root access. but it also helps identify if functionality you want is restricted to root.

Teacher - can I change my answer?
I was lying awake at 2am this morning thinking about this (don't ask) and wondered why we'd need this, how many root only apps can there be anyway?
And then, having asked myself THAT question I realized there was no easy way to find an answer to the question.
Therefore, I'm good with a root apps forum.

Has Phases decided on this?

I like the idea of a root forum, not just a root apps forum. I say this because I'm a root junkie, LOL. I'm thinking that this would be a great place to keep a list of root-related apps and concepts. There are always folks in every forum that are constantly asking about what root is, what it can do for you, why root, etc. This would be a great central place to point folks to when these questions arise.
