Thank you for helping me. Its much appreciated.

Android version 4.0.4

Baseband version S:d710.10 S.FL24

Kernel version 3.0.15-981989
SE.INFRA@SEP-135 #3

Build number IMM76I-FL24

Hardware version D710.10

you should be running fl24 ice cream sandwich I had just rooted mine and its the same thing, And u put the tar file in pda of odin.

How do I un root back to factory stock? brother in-law rooted my phone while borrowing it!! now the boost phone shows sprint everything!! I just want it back to stock! can someone please tell me how!??!

Edit: I can confirm that this process also works for FI22 and FL24. It should also work for any TW build, though you may want to grab the corresponding kernel here (i.e., if you're running a JB stock rom, make sure you get a JB kernel). I would also mention that, if you have 4g service, most custom kernels will bork your 4g speeds. You're only going to get 4g speeds with stock kernels or AGATs repacks (which are on the linked page). The repacks are just stock kernels with custom recovery that will leave your 4g speeds alone. So if you want fast 4g speeds, get a repacked kernel. If you don't have 4g or don't care about speed on it, you can get any compatible kernel you want.

But, as noted above, if something screws up or isn't working right, just flash back to stock and try again.

so if im on stock boost fl24 which kernel repack do i need to use in order to keep the best 4g speeds?

well i sucessfully rooted it! thx for all the useful info.

ill be passin out likes in a min.

so could someone tell me if there is a jb rom that works flawlessly (or next to). i just wanna get JB in the simplest way possibe fully working.

Yeah every thing works. But your going to need to do the mms fix on any sprint rom u flash.

A gps lock is exactly what it sounds like. When maps can see u to 30 meters or less u have a gps lock. There are apps thats can help u get a gps lock faster. And let u kno when u have a lock

Is anyone else willing to test the root tutorial using the stock GC01? I tried it last night and it didn't work (the device wouldn't ever boot).

That is because the AGAT kernel is for ICS only and will not work with the JB ROM. That is why the phone will not boot.

Makes sense, any alternatives out yet that may work?

You would need to use the repack with recovery for GB27, Though I would wait until they build one from source (now that they have it). You could use it to flash in the superuser then flash the stock GB27 kernel to use for normal operation.

So if I try blackbean with jelly tw how do I fix the mms? Just tryin to figure it out before doin it

Random question, if i update my phone to jb, and then if i ever want to restore to ics, do i flash the stock rom?...or is that not safe?
