Root Root Zte warp elite N5918

Here's something that worked for me, I uninstalled the kingroot app, REDOWLOADED it, not reinstalling it from the same apk, and tried it again like 5 times so 6 of the people asking for a root for this phone are me.
Haha amazing I thought it worked that way, I suppose I'll do it 20 times tonight lmao everyone do it boost us up!
Edit: no longer giving the actual number added to the request, it says +1 but it stayed at the same number while I fully uninstalled and redownloaded even from other sources and versions.

Go to system, apps, kingroot and clear data between trys. I don't think uninstalling is necessary.
Good thinking I'll give that a shot for sure, like I said though, it kept saying +1 but the number never actually changed for like 15 attempts fully uninstalled and new sources to download the king root app. Maybe it's just me, but we're all using the same phone so it should be all of us having the same issue lol

So what do you guys want me to do? DL Root Check Tool by KingRoot then what? If the root fails it allows you to request a root for your phone?
Yeah buddy exactly, the more people request it, the faster we can be pushed up the list, beings they will not let us sideload a custom recovery like we did with older devices to achieve root. Download it and clear data as many times as it will allow and keep running it, I downloaded 4.8.1 free form, from the original download, it prompted me to download a new version, I did and it managed to get the root percentage up to almost 70% before failing, unlike previous version that only made it to 40% or so. But just search kingroot on Google it will take you to their home page and download it there, make sure you have unknown sources checked in your settings btw

Good shit glad to hear someone knows how to do all of that sadly I have no clue, I know they had an app that installed recovery to the max, they obtained root that way at first. I tried their app, it doesn't work, maybe if I can look around and find the dev on that tthey may be able to work us up some magic.

I'm just saying, if anyone can find or write a working ZTE verification, then I can try and see if that will make sideloading the update.zip work.

Does that
File Verifier for Android™ MD5, SHA1, Nandroid verification
also verify update.zip files? and if so then how would I do so?

Well, the AFV (File Verifier for Android) app will indeed check the ".jarfile"-type integrity of any signed .zip file (i.e., do the SHA1 sums listed in the META-INF folder structure match the sums of the actual files contained in the .zip, etc.).

But what I really think you're asking about is probably my OTA Verifier app. I wrote that utility a while back to help vet/verify OTA update.zip files--basically is runs a "read-only" verification step based on the cross-checking that the updater-script file specifies. It's initial, main purpose was to check the apply_patch_check expressions (in the updater-script file) against the actual files on your device--letting you know that you might have a file that is out-of-sync and therefore would be a reason that the OTA might fail to install.

However, Google has been changing the makeup of the update.zip files in the last year or so where the updater-script file references files and SHA1 checksums of what the files would be after the installation has been completed. While this is a really great step from an integrity point of view, it makes my OTA Verifier app a little less useful if you've received one of the newer format update.zip files (i.e., there are things it can see that it can't check because oftentimes those files do not yet actually exist).

Go ahead and run it (OTA Verifier) against your update.zip and see what it says--it's totally "read-only" and does not actually install or change anything on your system. Ping me at scary.alien@gmail.com if you have any issues or questions.

Cheers!

:)

Which version? The newest one temp Roots the ZTE Speed.. I just spit out the fully Rooted Stock ROMs

I was asking which version KingRoot you tried because the newest version tempRooted the ZTE Speed, which is significant because I'd believe both devices have a similar lockdown..

I have already switched to a LG G2 sprint but.. the only way I could root it was via KingRoot but I used SuperSU-ME from the app store to use SuperSU instead. Hopefully this will be possible for this device. I don't like how Kingroot constantly sends out a broadcast to google etc..

Understandable. Super-SuMe is usually doable if you use it immediately after Rooting with KingRoot (before reboot). If we can even get a tempRoot for the Elite, everything else may be more possible. Get the files we need and someone can start on a custom recovery (while I make the Rooted Stock ROMs) to flash a fully Rooted ROM. As in: SuperSu, NOT KingRoot!
