Root Rooted my EVO, need some help.

I rooted my EVO and will soon be doing my dad's too. He had a Samsung Epic before and really doesn't like HTC Sense, is there any ROM very similiar to the galaxy s that will work on the rooted EVO? Also what are some other things I should do or get now that I have rooted?

As far as things you can do

1. Buy Titanium Backup from the Play store. It is probably the single, most important app any rooted phone can have. Live it, learn it, love TB:p
2. Use Smelkus recovery. If you haven't already, I would switch to this recovery as soon as possible http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1661543
3. Make a nandroid whenever you change kernels, flash a new rom... nandroids will save you some day.
4. Partition your sdcard. Although partitioning isn't required to flash roms but I would highly recommending partitioning as soon as possible
5. Have fun with a rooted phone, there are some great roms for the evo 4g so.....
6. Ask questions if you run into a problem, this section has many helpful people so if you ever run into any trouble, ask away, I'm sure someone will help

In addition to andygu suggestions, I would suggest reading thru this:

It is a sticky at the top of the forum and has alot of compatible roms, recommended apps and other info regarding rooted phones.

Like andygu said, HAVE FUN! and ask questions if you are unclear on anything.! :)
And definitely switch your recovery to smelkus recovery he linked :) (we may have to go about installing it a different way if you are "unlocked, s-on")
 
Read and understand all the guides you need but don't do anything with out first talking to one of the Guides. Ask them how safe the methods are and make sure to understand the methods. Some things can leave you a very expensive paperweight. (What we call a brick)

i have no clue on any s3 ported roms other then the one andy posted.
 
just get the S3 and put an S3 rom on your S3 LoL I love my S3!!!! oh, and just because i havent said "S3" enough.... ::ahem:: S3 S3 S3 S3 S3 S3 LoL
