Root Rooting the Huawei Ascend for Cricket users!

if you installing cwm you need to put your phone in fastboot by press and holding vol down, end key,tap power and it should stay on the white huawei screen. now plug it in usb and open the cwm folder you extracted, and run fastboot-windows first than run install-recovery-windows, after that unplug it from usb, and than pull the battery, wait 10 sec and put the battery back in and boot into recovery by press and holding vol up, call key, and tap power, it should now see a green and black recovery if you installing cwm 2.5.1.8...
 
ok so i dont wanna sound crazy, which i probably already do, but once i plug my phone in i hear a beep, then i opened the file and trying to extract it but the e drive doesnt show up so i can transfer the files....also after i did all of the above and vol up, call and pwr, theres a black screen with blue writing and the first option is to reboot, factory rest and somethg else
 
ok so just found out that my laptop has a virus, sooooo ticked right now, but what can i do, i thought i saw a way to do it w/o the computer, can u plz direct me in the right direction
 
go to start menu>my computer and right click on the huawei icon>autoplay>install mobile drivers....that should do the trick
 
Thanks. To jazzette and joser i have successful. Rooted. And removed bloatware. Now i i need. Help with apps2sd how and. Which happen do i move :confused:

Since you are rooted, try the app Link2sd. You can use ROM Manager to partition your sd card. Make sure you backup your sd card since partitioning will erase it.

Re installing worked now its asking me to select a size and a swap size my default is 256mb but it goes up to 512 the swap size goes from 0-256mb what do I do sorry for askingstupid questions

i would do 512 and 32 for swap. ;)
 
No offense jazz but could you clean up the posts that have nothing to do with rooting please? Maybe just move the non root content to a thread better suited for non root related topics so the info isnt lost? There is good info in the dialogue, but its not all root. Its frustrating having to wade through a ton of derail.
I think future noobs would would benefit greatly as well.
Sorry if I come off wrong but derail tilts me. Especially when Im new at something and trying to gain important info to make my situation better.
