Go to settings applications and make sure fastboot is unchecked. Then power off wait a couple seconds then hold power and volume down untill it boots into hboot. at the top it will give you the hboot ver something like 2.16.xxxx. Tell us what it says and we can get you to the right instructions.

I know that teeter and nova is safe to remove. You can freeze apps with tb and use the phone for a few days to see if everything is ok before u delete them. Just make a nandroid backup before doing anything so if you have a problem you can just restore and be good to go. Welcome to the rooting craze.

welcome to the forums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i would get titanium backup and just start freezing apps you do now want first then see how they affect your phone. if all is good you can use tb to delete them.

really the easiest way to do it is to flash a custom rom. most of them have all of the bloatware removed. i would start with mikg(2.61?). it is waaaaaaaaaaaay better then stock. it is much faster and has all of the bloatware removed. plus it has sense 2.1 and sense 3.0 cooked in. it is not themed, very much stock. you can get it in the rom/kernel sticky.

Congrats on ROOTING!

There used to be a list of bloatware that is safe to freeze in the ROOTING For Dummies + Extra's sticky we have but I can't seem to find that part of the section anymore....My recommendation would be to flash a ROM w/ bloatware already removed. If you want a ROM w/ a stock feel, may I suggest Sprint Lover's, Fresh ROM, or MikG even. All these ROM's can be found here. I also suggest you read the "After Rooting" section of the ROOTING For Dummies Guide.....the Gingerbread Edition, it'll get you started on your journey we call root. Pay close attention to the Flashing Guide.

For everything else, don't hesitate to ask! Again, Welcome to AF and Welcome to the Root Community! :D

EDIT: Sniped by Ocn again!

Yep as Frenchy said just flash a rom with bloat removed That will be much easier and if its missing something you want IE sprint football I think you can get it from the market.I had a list from when i first rooted but i cant find it and i never completed it because i started flashing roms and that took care of the bloat i did not want.

yea I'm ready to do so...

what are some good Roms that have cool themes? or is MikG the best for overall performance ? I'm definitely interested in performance than looks tho...

if that is the case then you want to check out some aosp roms. try cm7, it is my favorite aosp rom. if you couple that with the tiamat kernel, you will most likely get the best battery life. but it takes more tweaking then sense roms.

you need to flash the gapps file found in the rom/kernel sticky. you should also flash the qualcom drivers to get gps fixed:[FIX][AOSP][MIUI] All GPS fixes! - xda-developers

I'm gonna post a link to this site on all the social networks to my friends in case they have Evo's or Android phone for that matter this site is awesome...

thanks i will have to do some more research and probably ask a ton of questions but I'm estatic to pimp out my phone ...

also since i did the root my battery is dying quicker than before ...

also my antivirus software ( avg ) had errors so i deleted it ... was that the correct thing to do?

Yup, don't worry about your battery. We'll troubleshoot that and get a custom kernel running. Then you'll have better battery than you've ever had! :)
Parouse the roms and kernels sticky to see what you like. Get that Rom running nicely then just search for kernels for the type of Rom you're on. Of course you could just post up what you're running here and we'll get you hooked up with the appropriate kernels. ;)

Welcome aboard! No go flash something ninja quick! :D
