Use script manager

thats not a "how-to" the how-to is the first post.

the txt is the script. READ and you will ACHIEVE
 
Yeah its the attachment at the end. DMCM7.txt

Open script manager, which you download from market

Open the download folder

Open the DMCM7

Highlight the little superuser icon

Hit save

Open the script again click run then follow the instructions in monster's first post
 
so has any one gotten it to work? im running ctmod 3.4 and it connects but wont read. lie some one here said ther is two settings to change in 2 different menus maybe thats why it wont work.

Accidently booted into CWM haha.. so i figured i let the computer install the drivers..
Installed to COM port 8!!
DETECTED on QPST while in CWM. woohoo. lets see if this works. =) progress!

it wont work for me monster. im on ctmod 3.4 fa19. if i reboot dm mode turns off. i am using cdma works shop by the way not QPST
 
I'm kinda afraid to do this now since you say your phone can't be recovered with cwm. XP
My PC ain't working fully so I'm very weary of things now.

Root Explorer (app).

  • Navigate to /sys/devices/virtual/usb_composite/diag
  • there is a file there called 'enable'
  • hold your finger down on the file and select 'view in text editor'
  • change the 0 to a 1 and press the back button
  • it will ask if you want to save, press yes
  • your usb should enable now in DM mode.
  • to switch it back change the 1 to a 0

Now the script does this but for some reason it doesn't work properly on mine.

Same here, script didn't work for me but This did the job! :)
 
I use CDMA workshop with no problems.
In windows 7 go to printers and devices .
Right click on Android USB device go to properties
Click on hardware tab
Look for diagnostic port, that's the com port you use in CDMA workshop.
In CDMA click on the diagnostic com port you found from previous step
Click connect
Go to security tab
In password section go to Samsung default click send
Go to other tab
In PRL section click write
Navigate to the PRL you downloaded
Click open
Go to main tab click disconnect
When asked if you want to mode reset hit no
Eject your phone then reboot
Profit!!!!

Note when you are done writing the PRL you will have no phone service this is normal. It will be switched to the new PRL when you reboot
