Bit of a new look for my homescreen : -

Right...I broke my one rule today....or this weekend...I have ADW launcher now...NOT LP....its taking some getting used to...its not AS simple to move things...the time pressed to when the widget/icon allows me to move etc is a lil hit an miss sometimes in comparison...BUT I use it just for the fact of no dock....god that is fun...yea...no status bar, no dock...LOVE IT..

aaaaaaaaaanywho...heres my new custom screen...and this is MY attempt at a nice custom background....its a 'tiled' like affair....and it was a bastard to get it ok....I have sent the original template off to Eyebeam to work his more 'professional' magic on it...so we shall see how FAR superior his is to my attempt lol

the 'glass' theme I believe is due to Howard using a custom ROM, so unless you have a custom one then it will be hard for you to have the same thing..

and as to the clock theme, im not 100% sure on the ACTUAL theme....but I believe he's using 'Beautiful Widgets' app for the clock/weather and theres god knows how many tons of digital clocks on there :D

The theme can be found in the link just under the pics.:p Just be aware that it might not necessarily run on whatever rom you may be using. It definitely runs on Leedroid 2.4.1 etc. The background pic is from the theme and can be found HERE.
The clock is from Beautiful Widgets.

Scrollable dock? Swipe/Gesture on each dock. In/Out app drawer animations and the 3 tabs in the app drawer: All, Recent, Running. Those alone made me leave ADW and to get back to Go.
 
ok ok you two...calm down :P

all I will say is...yes I DID notice no swipe gestures...but not having them doesn't bother me due to my set up....and to the rest of the features you BOTH mention (your both gits by the way :p)...I say a big resounding...MEH! lol but thank you both anyway lol
 
I do love the folder icons in the app drawer. I dont like that Go has a separate notifications add on, which then has a huge RAM footprint on my device (40MB+) so I actually go without notifications now. I rely solely on LED / Status bar
 
Soooo I finally decided to delve into the 'where the hell did the time go' world of LP! :eek:

Also during the process of messing with all this stuff I got an error re the notification bar failing and now I cannot get it back either in LP or Sense!?...no amount of clicking tick-box settings or the trusted 'turn off/on' seems to work :confused:
......I would like to know if there is any other potential solution other than 'hard' re-set please!! :(

BG + Analog clock found thnx to 'WormDoes', Embossed Dock Icons thnx to 'Paulmz' (both 'button' thanked in appropriate posts!) :) .....screen icons thnx to 'julianfx' over at XDA (JYt V2)....swipe across dock icons for app drawer.....

Not to sure if the icons really go all that well with the BG but I really like the BG and I tried numerous other icons which lookd rubbish!....any suggestions? ;)

same with led, not bothered about notifications as i never used em before
i generally answer my stuff straight away so i dont need a count

I have a problem with these though - the Recent bears little relation to what I've recently been running! If I compare with the 8 apps listed when I long-press the home key, only 4 of them are in the recent tab. Maybe I misunderstand what it's trying to do, but it annoys me to the point where I want to turn it off.

I'm oscillating between Go and LP at the moment. A lot of stuff in common, but each has a few things it does better for me, and I don't have a clear winner right now.

okies, thanks for your reply. I have Villianrom with Android 2.3 and it came with CyanogenMod. I am not sure if I have this feature in it.

for me, I'm using 'SMS Unread Count' for my phone notification.....and gmail/sms notification im using 'Message Center Plus' which allows for quite a few customisations for notifications
