Show us your Desire Homescreens...

And its actually active with development unlike lpp. Which is basically dead with federal working more on a music player and his forum mods/support saying he's working hard on an entire rewrite which I'm not too confident. Go for the win :D

It took me a while to move from LPP to Go, but its so much smoother on my device and constantly updated. The loop on homescreens is so much better too. No lag like I got in LPP

oh, i like GO but i purchased LPP for the widgets before GO really took off.

i really wanted a calendar widget. i've yet to find a really good alternative calendar in the Market. the GO calendar widget is OK but not for me and Jorte doesn't cut it either.

any other suggestions?

Jorte was prone to failure I found. I use Pure Grid Calendar (purchased). Its pretty configurable. Dont know if you saw my screen shot a few posts back, before the lock screen? But thats what my config for it looks like.

Im not really important enough to need use of a calendar so I cant comment for sure how functional it is for you ;)

i use my calendar for facebook as you can sync it with google calendar using the facebook calendar url. great for birthdays

im using go calendar for that

yea I loved Go Calendar, great blend of easy to use and just looks nice as well, it might not have as much in depth appeal as jorte or pure (well with ON screen notes as such) but it was good enough for me.

I've now gone BACK to launcher 7 again (no heckling from the back again...that means you dan ;)) and have gone back to using the widget for upcoming calendar items inbuilt...its nice...not perfect as it shows what your doing 'tomorrow' like a day before hand but doesnt TELL you its tomorrow...just says what it is lol and theres no options. But as launcher 7 is constantly updating etc then heres hoping :D

hey!

I wasn't going to widget anything...

Edit> I mean, I wasn't going to scroll anything....

Edit 2> damnit. say anything!

haha well played Dan...well played..

for what its worth, when GO FINALLY get round to fixing most of the bugs in Go Notification and add options for the Go Locker..I will probably go back to Go..

The Notification is a real deal breaker for me though right now...my missed call works...facebook well fails..always has since they 'updated' it...Gmail I know WONT work until they find a way round the security change with the newest gmail update...but missed text just keeps failing for me all the time.....a shame really cos I do like GO even after the cr*p I gave it beginning of the yea when I was using LPP all the time.

I will say that while Launcher 7 is more basic in what it shows, it is a loss with the widget sizing unless you have 2x1 widgets that fit nicely...so clocks and weather work but music player, expense manager etc for me dont but I dont really use them much now as widgets...overall the speed is just the lil bit quicker...least I think it is, maybe its just a placebo effect because its different.

yea it was a lil hungry with RAM but it never really affected my system that much...just hate the failures with it now..

Another thing I like with Launcher 7 is when you hit menu key on the main screen, you see L7 settings, add tile, phone settings....thats it....no multitudes of added crap like go puts in....like YET another way of adding things to screen, or changing theme (one handled by long press on screen and themes handled in MAIN GO settings) as well as Go store, which just takes you to the main android market anyway and really stupid things like share etc.....too much bulk there for my liking...least with ADW you could alter that menu around, GO you can't at all..

ok that might seem like a little quibble...but its enough to annoy me at times, I mean I buy apps to support the devs and to get extra features....but mostly to remove the bloat and ads....I would gladly pay for GO if I can alter the menu...just annoyance to me lol

and if they gave cupcakes too :D

Here is my new set up.

When I read this I thought "it's been a long time since I had an update on Go". Then I checked, and it seems it had got detached from the Market! D'oh!

Yeah, try Android Pro Widgets. I'm using that now. Nice layout, free, (or pay for extra options) and can toggle between day view and grid. That's my current calendar choice, over Pure Calendar.

EDIT: i posted a screenshot of it just a page or two back.

Just restarted using GO Launcher... so far so good, except sometimes, after unlocking all the screens go blank for a few seconds... O.o
Otherwise, I am using a Blue Matte theme from xda :)

Ha ha, I never thought of that! Well I'm not revealing any details, I'd prefer to spare his blushes! (especially with a user name like mine) No, it's his fault 'cos if he hadn't helped with rooting/installing roms I'd never have become so obsessed with mucking about with my phone.
