Show us your Desire Homescreens...

Ahh yes, I had heard about launcher pro but am a little bit reluctant to change something so drastic on my phone! Would love to know if there's an easier way to achieve this? Otherwise may have to decide how much it bothers me!

This thread has gone a bit off-topic.......lol

Android phone users in general really need a good site that tells you everything you need to know about setting your phone up and the thousands of options available for personalisation and productivity/ease of use.

Could not agree more McNob. I have searched this and several other forums and can't find a really simple tutorial. I guess the majority of posters are enthusiasts who have forgotten how confusing a new technology is to a nooby.
Having said that I really do appreciate the generocity of spirit of those who share their knowledge with us.

Nice, how did you change your font and what clock is that?

What's that calendar widget you're using? And theme? Sorry if the answer is something obvious. I am under the weather and it looks cool.

The Theme is unchanged from installing LauncherPro I'm just using a dark wallpaper.

The Calender is CalWidget - got it from the market.

Hi Voltage Tweak
Nice looking theme going on there,
What and where did you get the Wallpaper and how did you change icons ??

Can someone answer me a quick(ish) question about icons please?

I have assigned icons to my folders and apps form the ibox series of icons on the Market and they all show up fine. Additionally, 1x1 widgets I install seem to "fill the 1x1 space" fully too. However, I downloaded some other icons and no matter what size they are eg 48x48, 72x72 etc they always appear smaller than the ibox ones. Does anyone know why this may happen and any possible way to ensure the icons "fill the 1x1 space"?

As a note, I am on a stock Orange branded Desire. No mods other than Launcherpro setup as my homescreen and folderorganizer applied labels and app icons.

Cheers guys :)

Screen1: just to give an impression of the wallpaper
Screen2: probably the most "useful" screen on my desire. Gives me quick access to all the switches I need.

All other home screens are willed with common widgets and apps (mail, agenda, contact, social apps, etc). No need to show ;)

I had this problem with some of my icons, are the images in the icon the full size of the icon if you get me? no blank space around them as i found a lot of the png i downloaded had transparent area on the outside of them causing them to be smaller that my other icons

A quick question if I may.

It's likely been cover but why can I change the icons for the market and gmail using folder organizer?

In the program it's self they show as what I changed them too but when I add them to a home screen they revert to the original.

The only option I could think of was putting them in a folder then assigning the folder the icon I want but that is not really what I am aiming for.

You mean change the Google mail/ Market widget to a custom one?

Open Folder Organizer
Select Shortcut
Click Menu
New Shortcut
Select FolderOrganizer item
Select Apps
Select Google Mail
Select drop down menu against Google Mail
Select Icon
Search for your custom icon
Go to home screen
Press and select shortcut
Select FolderOrganizer item
Scroll down and select Shortcut
Select Google mail

That should be it
