where abouts on the SD card do I store them? I mean, im going to need to be able to access the folder through Folder Organiser, but I can only see Icon Apps in that?
Hmmm Icon from that site turn out tiny when I add them to the home screens....
Got it done now and looks good.
If you mean like on my screenies (have a look on the previous page) then it's because I have LauncherPro installed.
LauncherPro Beta - Android app on AppBrain
It's an alternative to Sense.
you need a different homescreen app, i use launcher pro for mine some nice updates recently on ityou dont need to have the phone rooted which is a bonus for me as i dont want to plunge into rooting it quite yet
LauncherPro is well worth a look bud, I was reluctant to install it at first as I was liking Sense but I wouldn't go back now.
You can choose what goes on your bar at the bottom and pick how many screens you want (up to 7) amongst a lot of other things.
It's easy enough to switch back if you don't like it as well.
Hi,
Can you tell me what the wallpaper is called and where I can find it?
Cheers,
Phil
This is how I do it:
Make sure you have ASTRO File Manager Android application - AppStoreHQ installed.
Find a icon pack, or any image you want as a icon and save it to your SD Disk.
Make a folder called "My icons" or whatever you wish. Also add the .nomedia file in the folder so those icons/images dont show up in your picture viewer. (How to hide non-music audio files from appearing in Android media players | andrew | Androinica)
Now, using FolderOrganizer, lets say you want a shortcut, go to the shortcut tab, hit meny, "New shortcut", add the one you want.
Then, tap and hold on the new shortcut, chose "Change icon", then "Android Image Gallery" then "Astro". Find your "My Icons" folder, and click on the desired Icon/image you want.
And there you have it, custom Icon form a website, or chosen image.
