I'm really disappointed in how xda is handling things as of late. This will be the third major dev that's been chased off due to the way things are run over there. They're killing themselves without any regard. Or maybe apple is paying them... Lol. Just kidding... Or am I?
 
I think we're going to see more and more devs migrating over to Rootzwiki.

Much prefer it over there to XDA..

Eh, my issue with RW is how big of a presence bamf has over there. Its one of the best things about XDA now. haha.
 
I haven't noticed a huge BAMF presence over there. Not any more than some other devs I spose. Although, I'm not really looking for it either..

I'm curious if they'll attempt an AOSP ROM that isn't just a tweaked version of CM7...
 
I prefer rootzwiki to xda as well. Xda is a shit show lately and there seems to be zero moderation. I mean, someone had a Kernel named the "rapist mod". I know that name was created by accident, but it should have been changed immediately. Rape is not something to joke about or take lightly. Not trying to sound like Mr. PC, but on a public development website that was in bad taste, IMO.

The only thing I prefer xda for is the ability to attach files directly into forum posts. On rootz you have to post a link to a site like multiupload or megaupload.
 
MmMMmM New build up with smexy new Ziggy kernel. ^_^ Make sure to WIPE WIPE WIPE! This build requires it.
 
So I assume we just flash the rom and not the kernel. Question: how come the rom and kernel say "5 days ago" on the download screen if this was updated yesterday?

The kernel is there because some at XDA bitch moan and cry about Ziggy not releasing them, so he made a stock kernel flash. No one uses it, and to be honest, its just there for looks. I dont honestly know if it actually does anything. lol.
 
Doesn't the resolution seem a little messed up to anyone? The weather screen, the people widget and some other widgets are stretched wide, like watching a non-HD channel on an HD tv? This is the first sense 3.0 rom I've tried; are they all like this? Also noticed the homescreen icons are really small.

Well thats one of the things that happens when you port something that doesnt belong on our phones to our phones. lol. If you adjust your resolution a bit, that should disappear. You could probably go to like 220 with no real big differences in other apps. Sense 3 roms are gunna have issues like this.
 
So I have been running this rom for only a little while. Noticed that when I go into various apps(music, mail, market, etc) and then go back to home, sense seems to have to relaunch. I get the black htc screen then it loads my homepages again. Is this just because I haven't been running the rom for long is it something else?

Its an issue with the size of sense and the way that memory allocations are set atm. In an effort to keep the memory usage lean, the amount of free memory on hand is higher than stock. I personally dont use sense though, I use GOLaucher and never see these issues.
 
Alright Jack, the search function is now fixed(Was plaguing ALL ROMS HTC pays idiots to translate code from monkeys) and the redraw will be gone after V makes some ramdisk edits.
