The best camera in the world...

Yes!

Hugz! You got that right. Me needs hugz.

I wish my parents would have enrolled me in a marital arts school. My life would have been changed for the better. :(

I would have liked to have done it as a child myself. I can't say it would have made my life better or that it will make my son's life better, but I'm pretty sure it won't hurt.

Nope. One thing that is drilled into his head is no bullying and to get an adult if he sees it. Karate can only be used if someone is trying to take him from his parents.

Well, I meant using martial arts as self-defense against bullies.

EDIT: Guess I'll shut up before derailing the thread any further.

Here's what I intend to be a final update on the peacock with the neck problem, and then I'll stop derailing this thread!

Look at how much better he is [as of yesterday]. :D

The wildlife expert and I agree that he does not need medical attention now. (I sent her the full-sized version so she could get a really good look at his neck.) We don't know WHY he mutilated his neck in the first place, but he's clearly on the mend now. THANK GOODNESS.

He's no longer attacking his neck AT ALL, so while I don't know what prompted that behavior, whatever it is seems to be gone.

Phew! :)

Now that is a great story. :)

I was worried about that little eye stealer! ;)

Birds love to steal human eyes and eat the flesh of evil humanity.

Well - I have learned my lesson not to click on the "show / hide" button if MoodyBlues says it is bad or disturbing!

xD

Shaw! :D

That is an understatement... :D

I just can't handle it.

I went for job shadowing a long time ago... and I learned something about myself when I thought I wanted to be a vet...

Woooooooow - that is the worst job in the world!

The vet was extremely nice... but as soon as he saw me see a never ending list of hurt and injured animals he could see my own view of it was now changed.

I could never be a vet in 10 000 bagazillion million never ending years.

No ways. All you do all day is see hurt and sad animals and you cut them up.

No thank you.

Have you guys seen "Larry the Lounge Suite Lizard?"

xD

(I changed his name to Larry! :D)

He is telling me he is going to call the cops if I don't leave him alone. :D

Phew! :)

Me, too. He was so pathetic looking...but now he's BETTER! I'm really thrilled, because I honestly didn't think he was going to live [without medical care].

Well - I have learned my lesson not to click on the "show / hide" button if MoodyBlues says it is bad or disturbing!
Yep. See, *I* don't get queasy or anything--when I was in college, my friend and I would eat our lunch in the biology lab while dissecting things. Just NOT the queasy type at all. But I appreciate that some people are.

I went for job shadowing a long time ago... and I learned something about myself when I thought I wanted to be a vet...

No, no, no. It's a wonderful job, helping animals and everything, but, yes, it can be difficult on the humans involved. However, I would say the worst job in the world would be something that involves cruelty to animals, such as killing them in slaughterhouses, a job that exists SOLELY for the purpose of harming animals, whereas a veterinarian is there to HELP animals.

I've held two of my pets, my beautiful 'little' boy, Freddie Mercury, and my little princess, Joy Noelle, while they were operated on AWAKE, and the blood and stuff didn't bother me at all. What I was focused on was keeping them calm and still, and getting the surgery done successfully (check on all counts! :D).

Stinkster, you're such a kind and caring person, maybe you should reconsider being a vet. The pets would love you, and so would their parents. :)

Hey MoodyOranges. :)

Well... I dunno hey... what a wonderful bunch of comments and thoughts... buuuut... when I saw all those unhappy animals... the female Staffy that the Doctor / Vet had in a cage... shame the poor gal. :)

She seemed old.

White / grey around the tan snout.

Tan staffy.

She was angry and growling unhappy.

;-)

Shame yhe poor gal. :)

It is understandable... her master left her there... to be spayed... or neutering. :)

He was like a dictionary that guy.

Very interesting man.

He could see I did not like to see them suffer.

I don't know.

I think... I don't know.

xD

heh. :)

I am not a 100% sure...

If there is one thing... one thing I know... I would refuse to ever do... something I just cannot do... is kill a dog - or any animal. I know I may "seem" to be more of a dog person and pretend to not like cats  but I love all creatures both great and small, poisonous, stinky and down right huge. :)

I tamed a wild legavaan (I think the english word is "Rock Monitor? - we call them Legavaans. :)) at 8 years old give or take at a kind of bed and breakfast nature reserve...

The staff couldn't believe it.

A Legavaan is I think the heaviest lizard on the African continent.

It is like the massive / big or Africa's equivalent of the Komodo Dragon.

These guys are huge - down right ******* SMART though!

This guy could see I did not want to hurt him!!!

I was VERY interested in him... as he was me. :)

The staff said there is only ONE other person that has ever allowed anything to come near the big lizard - a game ranger.

It hates humans apparently.

Very big and very aggressive lizard - but we really liked each other and when I gave it an egg we were BEST friends!

xD :D:D:D:D

Very smart animal that!

Ooohhh they are very very very very down right clever... I made myself "smaller" or shrunk so it understood I come in peace and do not want to fight him /her. :)

I have also touched an elephant.

Almost got eaten by a crocodile because I wanted to see it even though it almost ripped my brother apart on the back of the canoe pontoon he was traveling in!!!

xD

SHIT I was MAD and didn't really realise the INSANITY of that all! :D

God knows I would do it again!

Oh yes! :D

:D:D:D

I miss that guy... I wonder how is he doing?

AHHHH!!!

LOOK at what I found for you guys!! :)

WHAT a treat!

HERE is a what I think looks like a young legavaan! :)

(The lions are very cautious and maybe think he is a snake... with venom... and venom = "cheers!" to the lion :D)

Ja!

I think that is a "lightie" or youngster jauling / partying it.

xD

I just tried to 30 push ups but could only handle 10!

HAHAHAHAAA!

STUFFED ek se! :D

xD

My camera was close by so with arms now broken i somehow took a photo! :D
