Oh boy..no 4G here yet and I did this a lot on my iPhone while away from home on 3G.
Now I see what Luke Wilson was bragging about.

And a quick gripe: The EVO charger looks ******ed (the part you stick into the wall). I don't understand why they couldn't have made it smaller or even with the fold-in prongs.
Quick question to HTC EVO owners...
When you turn the phone on with the button at the top, do you always have to slide that thing down on the screen to use the phone? Is there a option to disable that need to "slide to unlock?"

I have the same one but I never use it anymore.. I'll just put a movie or a couple recorded Tivo shows on my phone now to watch it. I just want my EVO already. LOL!

Quick owner question: Bill has confirmed that he installed this app:
ShootMe (Screen Grabber) - Android app on AppBrain
and he did not have to gain ROOT access to use it. Is this true? Can someone else confirm, and post some screenshots? If so, this would be a major departure from other Android phones.
Got it. I'm typing this message from it now. Best buy handled it well.
Just picked up my Evo at Radio Shack, and man, this thing is sexy. Getting it was an ordeal though...at first the associate insisted that I could only use the $50 deposit gift card on accessories. And supposedly they "have" to power it on to activate service. Ugh. I gritted my teeth while she tried to pry the phone's plastic wrapper open with a pair of scissors. Aaand that's why I prefer to open my own shit.
