The Huawei Ascend VIP Lounge !!!

Once it is done, unplug USB cable and take out the battery for 10 seconds and try to get into recovery by turning phone off and pressing and holding Volume Up, Call key, and Power until the black Clockwork screen comes out.

Do I really pull the battery out before turning the phone off?

Of course but I wanted to just make sure that I wouldn't do any harm to the process by pulling the battery before powering off.

Normally, turn the phone off first and then pull the battery...or at least that is what I have done.
 
If you cannot figure how to factory reset a phone would it be better to contact the carrier or manufacturer?

Really? That is surprising. The zio feels hollow to me. Plus it looks cheap. The optimus actually looks pretty nice in the silver with chrome trim. I know you work for cricket so you know what you're talking about. I'm curious to hear why you like the zio better.

You are definitely correct in that the Zio feels and looks much cheaper. But my experience has been the response time is a bit faster on the Zio (probably the most important factor for me in chosing a touch screen device) and the size and shape is more slimline. Don't get me wrong, spec wise the Optimus C is the better device. In the world of low end Droids it's basically a matter of opinion, as most of them are similar.
 
I saw the story about cricket getting the samsung indulge and the huawei ascend 2. Do you know if the ascend 2 is the same as the x5? It looks the same, but I was thinking the x5 had a 3.8 inch screen, the ascend 2 looks like it has the same 3.5 in. as the ascend.
 
I haven't heard anything about Cricket getting the Indulge but that would be awesome. It's a great little device. But the new Ascend will be fantastic IMO. Gone with the track ball! I never liked track balls with full touch screens. They seem a bit overkill. Also the 800mhz chip will hopefully be enough juice to power the darn thing. It would be nice to play ONE ROUND of Angry Birds in less than 10 minutes. The only thing that worries me is the rearrangement of the hard keys. Doesn't look like it will have dedicated "send" and "end" keys. I like to know I have just hung up on you!

theres a link about the indulge in the cyanogenmod 6 thread. It looks pretty official. They have pictures of it with the cricket logo on it. No 4g of course. I couldn't justify paying that much for a phone. For that much I would rather sign a contract and get a better phone.
