And if I wasn't clear, you can flash SPRecovery and Clockwork Recovery both from ROM Manager...that's one very cool feature it has, you can use it to switch between recoveries (flash CW Recovery is at the top of the list of options on the app home screen, flash SPRecovery (alternate recovery) is that the bottom of the list. :)

I saw that ROM Manager had an option for an "alternate recovery" ... but it was greyed out. Do I need to pay for ROM Manager Pro, or what?

I was up and running with NexFro and seemingly happy when I used Rom Manager to boot into recovery for the purposes of installing the new baseband. Well I never made it to that point as I'm stuck at the Motorola circle. I've removed the battery and have restarted both with power/x and just normal turning on. Finally booted up so I tried again. Same issue though again after removing the battery and waiting for 4 or 5 minutes it boots up but I can't boot into Clockwork recovery. I used Rom manager and flashed alternate recovery (SPR) and that worked and is allowing me to install the new baseband. Should I just reflash back to Clockwork once I'm back up? Other ideas?

Im going to start a thread about this issue. I will link you shortly when I finish posting it.

Yes, it is in the Pro version. It allows you to flash back and forth between ClockwordMod Recovery and SPRecovery 0.99.3b

I don't have and didn't pay for the premium version of Rom Manager but still get that option. I think you have to download the SP image before you can use that feature. I believe there is an option to download it via Rom Manager.

So more than one person is having this issue?

lots of people are across several phones. Koush knows about it but its not easily solved. The flash_image that works on some phones does not work on others and since rom manager works on several phones its causing a problem

well fab i decided to give 2.2 another go around using this rom. so far it is great and running fast as h3ll! :) thanx again!

Any chance of putting the Sense calender widget on this??

nope. The sense widgets require the htc framework. Only chance at sense widgets is the zuesdroid desire rom. Last I check it still was not ready for the big time and I am not even sure they are still working on it.

Great Work Fab, Thanks! love your theme. Any chance to get the Message app with the black background and adjustable font size? The one that enables video mms like Nextbeast 1.1. I just came from that to this ROM. And I also like stock fonts, my eyesight not so good anymore without reading glasses. Id be happy to donate for your work its great stuff.

Ok, so I pushed the Flash Player apk via busybox to the /system/app/ folder, but I don't see any flash enabled stuff... tried the m.kongregate.com site, but nothing is working..

Not sure what I'm missing here...
A very simple way to install apk files is to upload them to you phone via dropbox, as soon as the download completes, it installs itself automatically;)

Plus if you like to jump from rom to rom like i do, you leave your favorite apk's in your dropbox folder, then you can install them anytime you want

anyone else notice that setCPU doesn't find the cpu temp montior, i don't know if its this build or 2.2 in general.

Also, can you make the drag down notification window transparent again? :)

It is the kernel... It has to have a certain file enabled to read the CPU temp... P3Droid did not include the file in the kernels... He is aware of it and working on getting new ones out there...

It's not rough around the edges - it is a pure dump of the ROM from the Nexus 1 ported over to the DROID.

This is not a ROM that was created from the AOSP like others (CM, Pete's) but literally a port from another phone.

As such, it is going to have growing pains. if you're not comfortable with them, yeah, sticking with what you had is probably good.

Think of this as bleeding edge stuff.

So is this build a little rough around the edges?

if so, might stick with what I have for now..

Meh... it is kinda rough at first... took me some work but I now have it set up quite nicely and am really enjoying it...

If you like to mess with your phone and don't mind looking around for some of the fixes (nothing that is very major IMHO) then it is fine. If you just want to install it and have it work perfectly out of the box then I would pass and wait for some more stable releases...

BTW just to point out this will not run very fast right away, you will need to let it set itself up for about an hour or so then reboot, then you should be good to go...

IF I set it up and ran it overnight before reboot would be okay?

noticed a random reboot with my current V1.1 from Fab.. never had that before
