Yep, you're good to go then. If you've done that before, then, just flash it like any other ROM. Developers are saying to update to the latest radios only if you're coming from an older version. If you did the OTA update, you have everything you need. Keep in mind that once there is a new OTA update, you'll need to flash the radios (assuming said OTA update has new radios).

I think I may double post this but thanks i am good alrady install and looking around MYN'S Warm 2.2 RLS5, I see guys running Nyn 2.2 RLS5 with Netarchy Toastmod 4.2.2 cfs havs more kernel why and just download and falsh form sd card the same way?

People flash different kernels for a number of reasons. Performance and battery life are the most common. With that particular kernel, you'd be using something called HAVS (Hybrid Adaptive Voltage Scaling). That means that the voltage supplied to the CPU goes up and down based on load. Not all phones can handle it. I suggest you try NA 4.3 or 4.3.1 (4.3 still has the option for more HAVS. If you get any instability or screen tearing, try the 4.3.1 generic HAVS version). No matter what, though, you should give the ROM maybe two full charge cycles to see how battery life and performance are. If they are satisfactory (pending all other potential battery draining or performance issues you may have are resolved), you can try out a different kernel. To do, yes, just flash it from recovery like anything else. You must wipe cache/dalvik, but not data. You can get all the netarchy kernels here:

Thx.. base on what you posted it will not change the look UI just a matter of battery proformance correct? neighter will it change the cpu speed?
One thing i dont like so far is the text

Changing the kernel will not change the UI or the look of the phone in any way. Kernels will have defaults for CPU speed, but almost invariably, the min/max speed is set to HTC default (245/998). This is not *always* the case, so read about it in the documentation for whatever kernel you flash. Netarchy, for example, will not change your cpu speed out of the box. You can use setcpu, though, to change the max/min and change the governor.

As for text, are you referring to the system font? That's pretty easy to change. Pick any one of these:

When you find one you like, download it and flash it from recovery like you do anything else.

I find the stock font, works good.

Where can I find Swype apk the latest version? I had seen it for download somewhere but cant find it anymore and there was like a 3D version.

I find the stock font look much better.

I am trying to find the Swype that have a 3D look like the on I have in Mikfroyo but with no luck

Glad you got the font you wanted. As for swype, you have to live with the version swype has provided for the Evo. Trying to find an apk for a newer version is not something I can or will help you with. However, there are ways of theming the current version. Can you explain what you mean by 3D look?

that what it say beside the option to download swype but after reading I think that is not something to do on forum... not sure, I will just have to live withthe one come with this rom.

After several days of running Mikfroyo 4.4, I am extremely pleased. Not one complaint or hiccup, and the graphics are very nice. Thanks for the info, akazabam!

Congratulations on flashing a ROM :).

You mean unrevoked? Yes, it will work with all current software/hboot versions.

I just got a replacement phone and tried to root it and it said the version was too new. it's 3.70.651.1. Can this be rooted with unrevoked3?

Hboot is 2.10.0001
Radio listed under the Hboot menu is 2.15.00.11.19 (it was listed as baseband under the software menu in settings)
PRI is 1.90_003
Software version is 3.70.651.1 if you need it.

-edit-

I see it is the latest, so I should be good to go, right?

This was what my phone said it was and I rooted just fine with unrevoked3

I rooted the phone and am trying to make a nandroid backup. i go to recovery and get the phone with a red arrow and the screen wont change. Any ideas?

There were some times during the process when I waited several minutes for the screen to change during the rooting/nandroid/ROM flashing. Nandroid backup can take a few mins.

When you first go to recovery there should be a list of options at the top of the screen, assuming you are running Clockwork, which is what is installed with unrevoked. Are you getting that far with it, or is there no text on the screen?

I go to recovery and it boots then I get a screen with a phone with a red triangle on it.

So when I go to recovery I get the phone with the red arrow. I should just wait?

Somehow you lost recovery. Seems to be happening a lot lately with the latest unrevoked...

1) Did you get any error messages through the process?
2) Boot up normally, install the terminal emulator from the market (search for terminal emulator, and it'll be at the top), open it, and type "su" without quotes, then enter. Verify that the prompt changes from $ to #. If it does, your ROM is rooted.
3) Do you have S-OFF? I assume since you know how to get to recovery that you know how to get to hboot. It will say up at the top when you go to hboot.

If you have S-OFF and your ROM is rooted, you're in good shape; you just need to get recovery back. See this thread:

Download the Clockwork 2.6.0.1 PC36IMG file, and follow the given instructions for how to flash it. You should then be able to get into recovery. Let me know if you have any questions about this or if you run into any problems with any of these steps.

I typed su in the terminal emulator but i get denied, should i try to run unrevoked again

Did you get any error messages the first time around? Do you have s-off? Yeah, go ahead and try again, but it might be pointless depending on how far you got last time. If didn't get very far, it might not again. If you have s-off, though, go for it. It should work. If not, we can try some other stuff.
