Overclocking more power from CPU. Increase of CPU frequency
Swapping - partition on SD card for saving games and another aplications. No need to move app to sd but i dont recommend it. There are some problems with it. App2sd is better solution.

What is Swapping?

Overclocking, is the process of increasing the CPU (in most cases) speed, RAM can be overclocked (in PC's), Graphics Card's, etc.It's used to increase a device performance,the GT540 has 170MB of RAM btw.

Also for swapping you don't need to partition your SD card anymore.

I do reccommend moving them to the SD card as you will run out of space in the phone's 138MB of internal memory,out of those only 100MB (like when i had a fresh custom ROM) or 60 (when using the LG official rom with Carrier bloatware included) are available to the user.

Sometimes App2SD is actually more unstable than just using Android 2.2+ Store on SD card option.

I use GOLauncher but its not being recognized at boot as my default Launcher. How can i solve this. It should include ADWLauncher EX too but i just want it to boot straight into my preferred Launcher. Also if it helps you discover the problem, Home Selector doesnt seem to do anything other than to launch a different home. When i press the home key it simply reverts to the previous home. Ive been experiencing these problems since ive switched to the honeycomb theme starting from the first .zip i installed.

If that .apk doesn't work use the one that comes with the Jumpertest app, it's harmful and it only connects as you wish so, 'cause you basically would have to set it up first.

I think the default launcher is, ADW, maybe doesn't show, cause you're using so many launchers.

The Home key can be configured in the respective launcher settings, by default in ADW it goes back to the ,...well...the Homescreen,which if you have 3 it's the Homescreen #2,in Launcher Pro, it launches the Overview, showing all of your (7 max.) Homescreens.

Is there a way to delete my contacts imported from SD Card?
Accidentally I imported the vcf twice and it duplicate all the names in my contacts.
What I want to do is delete all the contacts and import it again.
I appreciate all the help.:D

Well, just delete them, and leave the ones you want.

I have almost 800 contacts.
Is there any other way like multiple select or select all then delete?
Or any other application to delete contacts or move contacts from phone to SD.

Be careful with overclocking, if you go higher than 845MHz, the phone won't be able to handle it and if you've checked 'set on boot' the phone will be stuck in an infinite boot loop.. Also the higher you clock, the more battery power is required..

As for the contacts try this: Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>Contacts Storage>Clear Data then import your contacts again

LOL..that's so many!, well there's Go Contact, from what i can tell, you can use multiple select, and delete them.

Overclocking is increasing how many volts the CPU is allowed to use, increasing phone performance, but reducing battery life as it takes more volts from the battery.. If you decide to overclock, don't go higher than 845MHz.

Swapping is using a part of your SD as RAM, which increases the amount of RAM the phone has. This is used for games that require more RAM like Dungeon Defenders. But I don't really recommend this as it degrades the life of your SD Card.

Ok got web working now thanks and it seems my battery trouble was down to maps/latitude constantly being on and pinging, so sorted that now :)

Tried the lg memo from the market but it was too big and out of shape when i put the widget on the screen so any memo app similar to the stock lg one? and i also want a calander that shows the whole month like the 2.1 stock

My android marketplace icon is however missing. How do I add it back?

Are there any security vulnerabilities with this version?

The memo app I use now after upgrading is AAmemo. You can find it in the market and it is free. You can also choose the size of the widget to use as well. Hope this helps.

Tnx for help now works very good. Problem was that i Mixed up mobile data and wap setting. :D

And my opinion about CyanogenMode 7 is just awsome ;D works great didnt see any lower performance from CyanogenMode6. And look very good to :D
 
When i tried to install CyanogenMod it was working fine until i got to ,'To install recovery type' and then it said cant find or cant read it so then i decided to let it go automatic and it can't find my device cuz its saying, ' waiting for device' even thouogh iam connected using usb what should i do?

I installed this with Recovery : http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip

I got my Android Market back but lost most, if not all other google apps. I downloaded them from the Market afterwards. For just in case, make a Backup before you install this.

I was able to call out to my voice mail, and it says under "status" that I have tmobile and the edge network. I have also enabled the "data enabled" feature.

What am I doing wrong? When I look under the APN menu, nothing comes up and it is blank.

Hi Guys, I am having trouble with my applications running in background.
I've installed Advanced Task Killer to kill the applications but after few seconds it will run again even without opening it.
I want to save battery so I need to kill unused application running on background.

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

You have to enter the T mobile APN settings for the mobile data to work.
