Root [UPDATED 8/8/12]Breath of fresh air....an update

Such a long day. My manager wants to be out of here by 830 at the latest. I should be home by 9 if so... It's about 6:10 here right now.
 
Do you want me to talk to a friend off mine and ask him for help? He has no experience (that I know) with android; however he worked for 10 years as a kernel developer for Intel before getting laid off 4 years ago. (And he had been working as a senior Unix system admin now)

I don't know if that background will help any, but I can ask. He is really busy these days though
 
The leaked kernel wont boot because the old radio. The kernel ive been using was my own with genlock backported. This latest one had KGSL and lg's overlay fix. which doesnt work.
 
Silly question, but have you been able to get in touch with Ricardo (the guy doing most of the current LG deving for Cyanogen)? He just put out a rom for another LG phone and he may have some insight that you need.
 
Cm seem to only take an interest if someone makes their product work on a device. That's what happened with the Transformer build... They only made it official/nightly after a dev made it functional, but they offered no help to get it to work.

Yes I spoke with him. Basically said he's did 3 variants of the device n to use his repo as a base. Lol

Thought about hollarin at him again n see if he will work on it if I send him my spec. But tats really up to u all since y'all got it for me.

It's your device PG do what you want with it if you think it will help
 
have you tried using the hijack method? use a working gingerbread kernel to boot ics? (what they did on the razr)
not sure if we could get it to work on the spectrum? Il look into it.
