us galaxy s3 will get no key lime pie

The galaxy s2 got update to ics AND jellybean so s3 might get another update to 5.0...hopefully...we will most likely get 4.2.2 atleast because samsung did say that the s3 would get as many features as it could from the software on the s4...so theres that...

Lol nothing wrong with that I do switch to aokp or cm and bb8 from time to time plain skin can become boring too I feel that non nexus devices are more for the average user like me nexus devices are more dev oriented just my opinion

Honestly...once we merge with tmobile...I could just get the nexus then...aosp roms will be updated to keylime for the s3 anyway so it's no big deal...
 
Key lime pie ain't even out yet so I wouldn't worry. But I'd say the s3 will get it. Good thing I got a nexus and don't got to worry.

Yup, you right. Honestly, what I enjoy most about the Nexus, is that I never have to worry about if a certain team builds ROMs for my phone or has certain mods, etc.... But that's just me.

Phones are like women. Every man has something different that gets their gears turning. Ohh la la :D

Besides, unless you've got some extinct dinosaur that was made over 2 years ago, there's no worries. ;)

It will get it. SOMEONE will ROM it. It's the FREAKING S3. Only the most popular phone of 2012. It will have 5.0 one way or another.

And no. I refuse to own a Motorola phone regardless of what's in it. It could please me sexually daily and I still wouldn't buy it. Too much? lol

I've had the N4 a month and I plan on holding on to it until the N5 is a couple months old.

I haven't heard much but what I have heard is that klp *may* be restricted to quad core devices

So what's that mean for the us s3 variants?

If the rumor is true, no official klp for our s3's

Didn't read the op's link if their link says same thing I did ;)

When are we going to see the next generation of Android? Many have asked that question, and many have*speculated*that we will see it at Google I/O. This would fragment a great deal of their own nexus line. The Nexus 10, released only this past November, is only a dual-core A15. The Gnex is a dualcore A9. These devices would get thrown to the wind if it needs quad-core. Not to mention the Nexus 7, while quad-core, is only quad A9. Only the Nexus 4 is quad A15. So needless to say, I'm not buying that rumor.
 
Hey you guys hear the latest rumors of honeycomb? they say it requires 1GB of ram and a dual core processor. i think ics is gonna need AT least double that!!!!!!11!

but fur realizeies. there is no hardware requirements for anything. the samsung galaxy rush is a single core 512MB device running 4.0.4 and capable of 4.2. my G2 started on 2.2 ended on 2.3 and im using 4.1.2 right now (its a single core 800mhz). so if these devices can make the jump from 2.3 to 4.x then there is no rhyme or reason why the sgs3 the would not get a minor bump up like KLP

i think the s3 will get 4.2 sooner than later somebody will most definitely port it over its going to happen one day soon as soon as they figure out how to incorporate grammar into samsungs keyboard its just a matter of time i hope anyway dont you i say dont you yeah thats what i thought i knew you would too

If the European one gets it is bet the us variant will too.
 
well i will say this 4.2.2 for the s3? yea that might be so but for metro??? thats another story i dont think metro wants another epic black friday episode like last time when jellybean was released on the very last day of feb. also you guys fail to realize we dont need no official ota update from metro pretty much cyangen mod does a rom built off it so either way we will have 5.0 and 4.2.2 we already have it with such aosp roms. so that leaves 0 concerns.

There are many that prefer the features of touchwiz to an aosp based rom (I'm not one of them).

I will say the aosp camera software still has a lot of catching up to do vs htc and Samsung
 
I agree with N4zty... someone WILL port it over, but considering how long we've already had 4.2 - and it's STILL unstable and buggy as all hell... I wouldn't bet the farm that we'll get a stable version anytime soon after release.

I want klp as much as anyone, but I'd rather run a stable Froyo than a bug pie. lol
 
yea im one that prefers the touchwiz for it being simple and stable but i could get used to anything thats stable lol
